Looking at the list I'm surprised our whole 2020 squad didn't make it.
Dudley, THT, Kieffer, Vale??
Lol top 75 for the NBA is fine, but even for a historic franchise like the Lakers going all the way to 75 is a little funny when you look at the names up there |

Just really bad HL really bad and you always seem to keep outdoing yourself
Before the lockdown the 2020 Lakers where on pace to winning 65 games.
Beat the brakes off the clippers and bucks on the same weekend.
In the bubble every other team had the same 5 month recharge/hiatus
In the bubble the rims where still 10 feet tall and the courts where still 94 feet long.
AD was phenomenal but Lebron was better.
Lebron winning number 17 for the Lakers tying the all time high chip count with the celtics is hugggggggeeeeee.
Tbh I’m starting to really doubt if you and all the others who belittle that 2020 title as if it’s played at LA Fitness if you all are truly Lakers fans? |
AD led the Lakers in 2020 in FG%, FT%, points, rebounds and blocked shots. lebron only led in assists. AD was clearly better. Man y'all need to stop it! This ain't Undisputed or First Take. |

Fair enough.
Let’s agree to disagree.
At this point it’s basically like asking me out of all of my kids who’s my favorite

You could certainly make that argument up until the Finals. Lebron was the better player in the Finals. AD was hurting a bit. In the big moments in the finals though, it was clearly Lebron taking over. |

Mangke Bateer

5 Asians with Jordan Clarkson… Has the Lakers signed Asian players more than any team?

The Lakers have an amazing list of top 10 players or so.
After that, they have a strong list of fan favorites for 15 spots or so.
By the 35th or 40th slot, it's pretty hard for me to care.
I mean, Sedale Threatt had a few solid seasons for us in the bleak years after Showtime ended, but in the grand scheme of things he was nothing more than a solid journeyman. |

Decent list. I would switch some of the names around in the top 30 to slightly different spots and would rank some of the Minneapolis guys higher, but overall nothing in the first half really strikes me as a terrible choice.
The second half is kind of whatever. You could put every one of the second half names in a bag, draw them randomly, and it would seem about the same to me. |

Wilt was as divisive in his day as Lebron is now (well, at least as divisive as you could in an era of no social media and limited basketball news).
The super team of Wilt-Elgin-West was criticized for not doing better. Wilt fled the Lakers for the ABA, and the Lakers sued him, causing him to retire.
Most fans around today have forgotten all that, or never knew it. To them, Wilt is just a bunch of stats and myths.
If LG was around then, people would be tearing into Wilt non-stop for being selfish, lazy, and uncommitted to the team. |

I've been a fan since the 72 season and either forgot about that, or did not know. I'm leaning towards the did not know part because I was a teen age unsophisticated fan in 73.
But, damn Wilt, that was the season right after we won the whole thing. |

It looks like the voters didn't quite know what to do with the older guys from the Minneapolis days. But most people have that problem. That said, I think they did a better job with the Minneapolis guys then I commonly see all these types of lists.
Otherwise, it looks like the voters clearly gave a lot of emphasis into Lebron being the top guy on a championship team. I don't find that unreasonable myself, even if I wouldn't have put Lebron quite as high as they did. |

I love magic and grew up on the showtime Lakers, but just don't understand why Kobe is not the greatest Laker.
I would say Magic's impact is more on the times he played for the Lakers compared to Kobe, but Magic's career was cut short. Kobe played 20 yrs in P&G well beloved in the whole world not just the city of LA and his peers. Both got us the same amount of title. Stat wise Kobe's career is way superior. Even now almost 3 yrs after his death, my heart aches for him not being around anymore. Placing Magic as 1 just does not feel right to me, a tie for #1 I can accept, because Magic was the Lakers back in his playing days.
Kobe is Laker's Career Leader is Games, Minutes, FG, FT & Stl, Points, 2nd in Ast & Def Reb. 3rd on Reb, 5th in Blk and I don't even know how many of the playoff stat he is first on. Miss you Kobe. |
