AD, LBJ, Reaves, Walker and Russ don't count (they are the top 5 best players), so who is #6?

Maybe ask who is 7th? Or 8th?

People are going to say DS because he just had three good games against the Spurs.

The real question is how people would answer this question a week from now.

Starting
PG - DS
SG - Reaves/Walker
SF - AD
PF - Bron
C - Bryant

Then swap Walker/Reaves for Bryant to increase tempo
Russ to relieve Bron
PatBev/Nunn for DS
Brown/JTA back up SF
Wenyen back up PF
Maybe Jay Huff back up 5 if Jones is that bad
Max/Ryan/Jones for garbage time

Sure, but polls like this are heavily influenced by the "what have you done late for me lately" factor.

If you had taken this poll after DS had had a couple of bad games, rather than right after he had a very good one, the results could be significantly different. That's just the way LG is. Overall, the place is very much a captive of the moment.

Also, the quality drops like a rock. Regardless of who is the "best" player after the top five, the most indispensable is Wenyen Gabriel followed by Troy Brown. If Schroder went back to Germany, we could cope. If Wenyen Gabriel gets the flu, we have problems. This is a sad and remarkable state of affairs.

I'm not one to question the timing of the poll...of course it's for right now because it is done...well...right now and worded as such, not...who will be?.

I expect DS to eventually be the 3rd best player on the team like he was the first time he was here.

I'm interested in who will be our 4th best player between WB/Reeves/Walker? Also who will be more effective as the 7th player between Brown/Bryant/Gabriel?

For now Schroeder is obviously the choice as 6th best and is probably higher than that right now.
