Of course, we traded starting center Zubac for NBA powerhouse Mike Muscala.

Gooo Muscala go!

Thatโ€™s an awesome stat line. Congrats to Zubac for having a career game.

You need to get over the waste of assets or traded players the Lakers have squandered over the past few years. Despite the narrative, the Lakers have chosen to move a lot of good young players. They are going to have good games and careers.

I really miss Zubac. Not just because of this line. Great mentality, hard worker, team player. Still annoyed by that trade.

He's been an absolute beast this year ..... if you have him on your fantasy team, you would be very happy.

9th in rebounds and 7th in blocks.

Could be a deep candidate for Most Improved Player if he keeps this up.

Can he win MIP over AD?

He got into foul trouble early. Zu destroyed them though.

I miss Zubac for sure, he was just starting to blossom as a big man before we shipped him to the Clippers, but there is always gonna be decisions that you regret rather thatโ€™s in sports or in the business world, just like the Spurs will likely regret not trying harder bringing Walker back, there is always a omen to something so overreacting to his amazing game isnโ€™t gonna add anything.

Why should Lakers fans get over the waste of assets or bad trades in the past, current or future?

It's not as if the the disastrous asset management ended with Mitch, Magic or Pelinka. It is ongoing. Many of us gave up season tix because of this (bleep) show of stupidity.

We are witnessing a once great franchise quickly devolve into a clown show because the front office is incompetent, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

I agree with most you state. This current mismanagement has led to the franchise becoming the punch line of the NBA. Which will only get worse when the Pelicans collect the top 5 pick this next draft.

I only say โ€œget over itโ€ as advice to avoid getting even more frustrated with the current Laker trend.

I have been a fan Laker for 50 years. Sadly, Iโ€™m not even overly frustrated anymore. I am fast becoming apathetic. A once proud franchise is quickly becoming consistently irrelevant the more they continue to lose.

Brooke Lopez also started killing it after he left L.A.
Smh. Thanks Magic.

Both BroLo and Zu are gunning for DPOY this season. Their defensive metrics are excellent. Crazy how the Clips are still finding success without their 2 best players.

Another magical pick by the Buss kids gone to waste. Still remember him tearing up the summer league next to Ingram. Can't say that I didn't see this coming. Zu was drafted as a draft and stash in 2016 but exceeded all expectations with his play. Luke was too enamored with his small ball units to let Zu develop the right way. An example of how having the right coach can make all the difference.

I would say this was the dumbest trade in recent history but we all know that to be not true. Laker FO sucks real bad, but we all know that.

Coulda keep Drummond for Zubac type money if we wanted to but why not give Jay Huff a trial (swap one of those 2-way for him)?

Well, his impact metrics are better than Gobert's this season, so yeah. That's a heck of a cost efficient deal. That's practically paying him peanuts for what he provides, minus the small ball lineup counters. Plus, the Clips are paying 2 dudes who barely play a combined 90 million. Talk about a scam.

30/30 is KAJ level of greatness. Maybe he'll become a Clipper legend someday. Who knows? Thanks Jeanie. Keep up the bad work!

Lakers let a young Don Nelson walk for nothing and he came back and hit the Game 7 winning jumper against us in the '69 Finals.

Lakers let Tony Campbell walk after the '88 Championship and he put up back to back 20 ppg seasons in Minnesota.

Lakers traded away Eddie Jones and he made 3rd team All NBA.

The Don Nelson one seems like the only one that hurt us.
But I mean, he averaged 6 mins a game the year he left heh
