Since the public perception is that the Lakers need to make a trade, saying that the Lakers are interested provides leverage and news coverage to prompt urgency

Pelinka should never be forced to make a bad trade just to make a trade.

Maybe being the third party of a bigger trade would be the ideal scenario

He's not fit for the job if the Westbrook trade, or any other trade, was made because he was "forced"

He's not fit for the job if the Westbrook trade, or any other trade, was made because he was "forced"
Maybe “motivated” might be more accurate

Remembering when Kwahi “suggested” that getting PG would him make the decision to play for the Clips

When LBJ & AD “encouraged” trading for Westbrook

Did Luka “mention” Kristaps Porziņģis to management?
