Without LeBron or AD and as the key scorer in the offense, Schroeder is a 17-20 PPG scorer that can go off for 27-30 on occasion.

You don't want to be a team where that is the case all the time, but he's capable when it needs to happen.

No Lebron or AD and we still beat the Heat?

Thanks DS

Quietly over the past 10 games, he's picking up his rhythm again.

15.7ppg/4.3apg, on 41.5% from 3.

Schröder led the Lakers to victory, in heroic fashion, with a season-high 32 points.
This was DS best game as a Laker! He definitely gets the game ball, what a performance for the WIN!

Right!!!

I mean we have solid DS-LW4-Bron-AD-Bryant
But we need that starting level 3&D guy to go small ball, PatBev not it
Bench with Russ-Reaves-JTA/Brown-Wenyen is good enough, also need a back up defensive center, Jones also not it
We are both far and close lol but can’t tell me this team don’t have a chance (yes health I know). Pelinka needs to find a move before Feb deadline, redeem himself

Not sure how he played after rolling his ankle like he did.
If that was most any player, I see them going to the lockeroom.
Gotta be sore today.

Great fearless performance for Dennis. I hope he gets more playing time.

He’s a great kid. I hope he is able to keep performing and finally gets paid this year. Felt bad for him when he passed up the $80mill deal and got nothing. I know I shouldn’t but just saying.

I don’t feel bad for him the first time around. He got greedy and he got slaughtered. It happen in the market occasionally. He also acted like a diva with his me me attitude and it was mind boggling that our FO catered to him. Having said that , I am glad we got him on the minimum and hopefully he can continue to play close to last night and get paid eventually. So in essence, lesson learned and fortunately for us, he look like he’s moving forward . I believed this is an underrated pick up after leading Germany on recent Eurobasket. That’s is very competitive, Gobert and Luka first made their mark on those games.

Always been a steady guy since his first year here. Kept us afloat while Lebron/AD was injured that year too.

Got a bad knock for his last game and for wanting to get paid.

Late to this, but yeah, he's been really good. Probably him and TBryant are our best pick ups, and I wish we'd revert to 20-21 type of lineup. TBryant (playing Gasol role), AD, Bron, Reaves (or Walker) and Dennis. That's a decent starting 5 that can make a strong run for the play ins.

The only downside of Dennis playing like this, he's going to get a 7M to MLE (2-3 year deal) in the offseason if he continues this. And to keep we'd need to use capspace (Which I doubt we would).

But absolutely our starting 5 when AD comes back needs to be Dennis, Reaves (or Brown), Bron, AD and TBryant. Give that a good 8-10 stretch of games. Enough size athleticism to play with elite lineups and obviouly all depends on AD in the end his level, but if AD is playing well, the way Lebron is playing, that lineup can win 2 play in games.

A ankle twist has changed Schroeder’s season around in a big way, ever since that ankle twisted he’s been playing like a all star

Say what you want about him but just like last time, DS usually plays well enough in the RS to keep the team afloat. Playoffs? Maybe not so much, but still a nice player to have.

At reasonable salaries, both he and Westbrook are roster/bench worthy even though they are both infuriating as hell at times…

In the playoffs in his season here, he caught a lot of flack for the scoreless game 5 and 3-13 game 4. But he also scored 20+ in 3 of the 6 games.
