Nunn played a nice game tonight.

He's going to have some opportunities with Reaves and Walker out. Hopefully he's able to keep tonight's momentum rolling. He played reasonably well against Miami, as well.

He's got a nice shot, and his handles are pretty good. The lost athleticism after his injury was hampering him but he's looking better lately.

Great game for him... Feel like his always been talented, but just can't crack it ahead of Russ/Schro/PatBev.

I'm hoping the last 2 games are signs that he's getting his legs back.

He is way to talented to sit on the bench, even the Miami Heat announcers couldn’t hide but gush at him as a player what he’s capable of

Looked like Miami Nunn tonight. Hope he stays healthy and continues to find rhythm.

KUDOS to Kendrick Nunn vs ATL
First 20+ point game as a Laker

Stats:
23 PTS (9-16 FG 56%, 43% 3FG)
3 RB, 2 AST, 1 STL, +9

“Night and day,” said Kendrick Nunn (season high 23 points) about how he feels now vs. where he started the season.
“Just trying to figure out spots on the floor, chemistry and things like that. I’ve been watching a lot (from the bench)
… and opportunity knocks … I’m ready.”

If we are smart we re-sign him for cheap. He seems to be slowing coming around. This is a great buy low opportunity.

our PGs in general are trending up
Pat bev -starting to knock down 3s
DS-has been great from the 3 and breaking down the defense.
Russ- has been great since coming off the bench
Nunn- starting to score points.

however, we can't have 4 PGs, so someone (or 2) has to be traded due to salaries.
DS is on Vet min, so he is off the table.
at this point, i think we should still trade Pat Bev and/or Nunn because Russ is the only one that can create quality shots off the bench.

I like having him out there with Lebron. One of the few guys that I feel confident in his shot. Would love to see him and Christie out together to spread the floor even more.

He's finally trending upward after being comatose for 1.5 seasons.

Good job!
Twitter was mad about the foul, but I didn't think it was that bad, especially in hindsight.
Ended up preserving time for us.

Never understood the PatBev trade tbh... We gave up 2 longer wing guys for a short tweener?

I would keep him if we can... See if we can swing PatBev instead for Reddish. I'm pretty sure Thibs would want a veteran defender.

Bev makes too much to be traded straight up for Reddish

His salary should be used for someone making more money.

Agree tho. I hated when we traded for Bev.

Yeah, with Walker out, Nunn has slowly emerged into his replacement level player. We're a lot better this year with these sort of players, we got a lot more B grade role guys this year, despite the narratives that this team is G leaguers around Lebron, outside of Christie (only playing due to injuries) we've got a legit NBA team this year.

Dennis is just 1 year removed from being a 15ppg/6apg starter for a team, and refusing a near 80M contract. Bryant 2 years away from a 24M deal, 8M a year guy for a starting stretch 5. Nunn was a 15 ppg guy in Miami. Walker is giving the team 17 ppp. None of these guys are earth shattering, but no way is this team as depleted, old and slow as last year's group around the big 3. This is why I feel we should be a bit better than our record especially with how bad the West has been. We are advertised as horrendous, but really we are talent wise with Lebron/AD/WB + these role guys a team that should easily be in that 6-8 range in the West. Had we made the Hield/Turner deal, we likely clinch a 5th seed at worst. West isn't that good this year after the top 3 teams.

The team started off slow, but since then, they've played to their talent level. There's a lot more speed to this year's team. You can see it. Our main weakness is that Rob's built a team that has way way too many small guards and not enough size (and they play AD and Lebron out of their most effective position, IMO). If we can make a small move to get some wing size, we and get AD back at the 4, Bron at the 1 on O, we're going to be good enough to make the play ins for sure IMO.

can you imagine how good our team would be if Rob gave up 1 FRP and some 2nd round picks to get Grant last summer? Blazers got Grant with a 2025 FRP from Milwaukee...
