No coach wants to face LeBron and AD in the playoffs. Rob just has to make a move or two to solid the core around them and LeBron is giving him every reason to commit to a trade with those picks. |

Crazy he has the most 4th quarter points with all the games he’s missed. And it still feels like he’s been playing poorly a lot at the end of games…goes to show how great he is. |

I agree if you mean this Lakers team right now. But I'm not sure if you account for AD being back (particularly if he is playing the way he was earlier) and a couple of trade deadline moves. LeBron and AD together aren't that far removed from winning a championship in a year where their third best player was KCP. Few teams have a one-two punch better than the Lakers do even at LeBron's advanced age. It's all about supplementing those two with the right supporting pieces and the two of them staying healthy. I'm not saying the Lakers would win the West, but they would be a playoff opponent that would be a tough out for anyone. |

Tyronne Lue would be one of them since the Clippers haven't lost to the Lakers in ages. I can't remember the last time we beat them. We actually "dodged" the Clippers during our 2020 championship run. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024 |

Noticed lately that Lebron has tweaked his shooting mechanics. It looks better that past couple of seasons. |

Why SGA is #9 in MVP ladder while Lebron is not even in the outside looking in?
I know some saying Lebron ain't in the top 10 because of standings, then why the hell SGA in in the top 10? |
Because the thunder have a better record despite worse talent. SGA is also playing better than Lebron this year. Lebron is the second worst shooter in the league from distance. SGA has pretty much been 30,5, and 5 on 50% / 36% / 90% shooting every night … SGA has been better than him and even if you are kind, at worst they have played even.
Those three games with okc this year will determine Lebron fate for the playoffs and his mvp race because if okc wins that series they could knock the lakers out contention and it will probably be because SGA outplayed everyone |

There isn't a formula for the ranking, and they don't provide an explanation beyond the top 5, so it's anyone's guess why the order is the way it is.
SGA may have gotten the nod because his personal stats and team record are a tiny bit better than Lebron's. Or maybe there wasn't a lot of deep thought that went into it. The writer may have dashed this off and ordered the lower guys on a whim.
When it comes to MVP, anything beyond the top 3 to 5 doesn’t matter much. The 5 through 15 guys are just a big mass of "everybody else." |

But still Lebron is not even in top 15, not even a mention that he might crack the top 10. They are only behind OKC by 1 game. So if Lakers overtake the okc, I will assume that Lebron should be in the top 10. He has a better overall stats than SGA and he's carrying a team who's 3 key players are injured. |

also he's shooting floaters more often now. Did you see that 1 hand bank shot he did yesterday. Looks like he's adding shots in the paint that doesn't require too much physicality. Lebron is not really know to have soft touch around the rim but he is starting to try shots that require a soft touch this season. |

Yep noticing the different things he is adding to his offensive game.
I wonder if he is working with that assistant known for improving offensive game. Lebron might play until he’s 48 if he keeps adding to his repertoire |

Maybe he is studying guys like Luka and Jokic that doesn't need Athleticism and Quickness to get into their sweet spots. Basically he can still play even if he is slower and less bouncy but still strong. All he need to do is play like Luka and Jokic. |

Everything LeBron is doing in that 3-10 ft range is stuff he did on more volume and higher efficiency in Miami. He loved that bank shot during those seasons, then abandoned it with the spacing he had in Cleveland. |

no, they dodged us by losing to the Nuggets. i don't think any coach in their right minds would want to play a healthy lakers squad in the playoffs especially in the first round(keyword HEALTHY) |

SGA is miles ahead of Bron as a player this year. Do some of you even watch players around the league on a regular basis before making such comments? |

i heard AD is coming back this week, so are you assuming he is going to get hurt again? i mean it is certainly possible, but same can be same for Pg and Kawhi. it is all crapshoot. |
