I think Christie has more upside and is a better 3pt shooter.

Also athletically, he will end up a better defender.

Tough call. I love them both. In the short term contending for a championship I would choose Reaves.

Just looking at their numbers lined up like that makes me want to do the trade less and less.

The one who isn’t about to be 25 during his second season in the league

I love Max, but Reaves has playmaker chops. That is among the more valued skillets. Other than shooting, that’s been the special sauce Golden St has had that makes them so hard to defend. Making reads and capably finding the open man.

I think we keep both though.

Didn't see a choice for both.

So...I chose "Both".

BOTH. These are the sort of players that will balance the superstars and make the winning difference in the team game.

I hope they hold on to both of them. If one is included in a trade though, I'd guess Christie has more value. He has way more upside, and another year left on his deal. If they make a trade they are trying to win now, and at this point Reaves is the better player. So it kind of makes sense for both teams, in that case.

Christie is the answer. Much younger, much more upside because his skillset is more valuable in today's NBA, as a lengthier defender and potentially a better shooter. Maybe a much better shooter. Reaves is probably going to be a nice player, but replacing him would be easier. If you hit on Christie, you might really have something, and I like what I've seen so far. You also get Christie for cheap for one more year, whereas Reaves needs to get paid. That said, Reaves would have a higher # as a tradeable asset after he's signed.

But yes, give me Christie if forced to choose between the two.

BUMP for remembering 2 months ago when reports were Lakers may have to trade 1 of Christie or Reaves or even both for Kyrie?

Dogged a bullet!

Votes at that time were 18 for Reaves and 12 for Christie.

That’s a pretty….unnecessary bump dude.

You’re just gonna have stupid posters (especially the ones that troll/concern troll here) commenting thinking somebody is asking this question NOW.

It would have been more effective to just create a new topic about how we dodged a bullet of avoiding trading these guys for that antisemite/team cancer.

Not happening cuz I don't think we have enough salary to match.
How many more years of elite offense does he have? 4?
How many more years of elite offense where it negates his horrid defense?
