7 Black Belts and doing movies? I'd say they probably about as legit as Shaq's Masters from the University of Phoenix.
His background is no secret... he's legit... he not a Van Dam...
thats why i dont see why he wants to do movies instead of dominating MMA. hes not making a great living on movies. most of his movies comprise of b action movies.

As legit as he is, earning black belts doesn't automatically equate to dominating MMA.
I saw the original UFC's and back then everyone had a host of black belts in a host of different disciplines. 99% of those guys would get crushed today.
Conversely there is a guy like Brock Lesnar who with minimal time spent is now on a warpath.
I'm not saying he won't do well or he won't. I'm just saying, a black belt isn't always a black belt (school you go to all that sort of thing).
For all we know, he could be GSP and Andersen wrapped in one. Or he got his black belts after "performing" and getting 10's by the judges...

oddly enough, jeet disciplinarians like MJW are pretty successful in MMA
hell, Jeet MEANS MMA. but youre right, knowing how to throw a kick and knowing how to fight are different things.
still. with how big that dude is, and how many different tools he has, i think he could be pretty successful. brock is successful cus hes massive and knows how to throw his weight around, kinda like lashley before his injuries. and the opposite of bob sapp
His sexual preference has nothing to do with his prowess. I don't like his on screen moves, they seem really choreographed. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I dunno. The Joker took him out pretty easily.
Nobody was with Heath when he died though. In light of this new information, I think they need to re-open the investigation into his death immediately.
Yeah, my brother in law has been taking jeet since forever and I remember him explaining me kicks and punches to go in a short, straight line. Just like MJW is saying.
I'd still like to see him enter an MMA event though. It would be interesting. Dude is built like a mofo.
Can't believe you guys are trashing Van Damme! He who gave us Bloodsport, Kickboxer, and my personal favorite, Street Fighter. I mean, did you SEE him whoop Raul Julia's ass?

Van Damme was legit tho he was 18-0 in his kickboxing career
I was being serious. Van Damme was a really good legit professional kickboxer. Hes scheduled to take on a former gold medalist in his first pro fight in over 20 years later this year. _________________ 16
i definitely think he could hold his own but hes a bit old for his weight class. Wouldnt Bones be in his class (pre heavyweight weight).
But he is a true bada$$. My son wants to be a UFC fighter and he was turned on to MJW youtube clips for kicking and supplements his training with those. Fortunately hes only 11 and has enough time to realize there are better ways to make a living.
you look at muay thai (arm band system) and traditional kickboxing that doesnt have a belt system. most diciplines incorporate some karate to bring in belt system.
My son does traditional kickboxing with some karate infusion and thats where the belts come in. Obviously im bias but he's a killer. Here are some of the best days of my life:
- His instructor told me he wasnt allowed to spar for a month because he went too hard
- Your sons power is way above his level and age especially his kicks
They go easy with head shots and leg kicks but watching your kid in stressful moments on the mats is incredible. How they react, how they figure things out. the respect for their opponent after getting beat up or vice versa.
i cant recommend martial arts enough if you have kids. He recently added BJJ to his routine but only 2 days a week but so far he loves it.

You forgot Black Dynamite.
BLACK DYNAMITE!
Love that movie!!!!
For this reason alone, he would rule! "First Lady, I'm sorry I pimp slapped you into that china cabinet."
Haha! I threw that sh*t before I walked in the room!
Black Dynamite is near the top of my Blaxploitation films. Jai should have had a part in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
