Ray Allen is gone. The big 3 era is over.

Make that 55 minutes. Not that I expect the Lakers to make any trades right at the opening bell.
Mitch waited until the final hours before the deadline in March before pulling the trigger on the Sessions and Hill trades. I wouldn't be surprised if he bides his sweet time this time around too. |

Yes things could go down... but beware of the dreaded "basketball reasons" excuse to veto any NBA trade.
The NBA has turned into a fantasy league. The commissioner can veto any trade. hahaha. I just hope the Lakers stay ahead of the Clippers this season let alone make the playoffs! _________________ 15th thru 20th rings!!!! |

The NBA aren't acting as owners of any teams.. therefore the whole veto thing isn't really a factor in any trades anymore. |

Stern has the power to veto any trade. He'll use his power wherever he sees fit. "Valid Reasons" be damned. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

I'd still be pretty shocked if he leaves for Miami. Mainly due to his loyalty to Boston at this point. _________________

Crittendon should be easy to find at midnight. It's called Atlanta County lock up. Offer him the MMLE, he'll probably take it. Or he may say that he doesn't want to play with Kobe or in Mike Brown's offense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It may not have been a bias against the Lakers but a strong legal argument could be made that voiding the deal was collusion between the league and the Hornets and thus violated the CBA. Of course the league was the Hornets which was the main issue itself. Basically the league acting as owner of a team could be interpreted as violating the CBA. But Paul himself was the only person who would have a case against the league and he didn't go the legal route. |

They have the Mini MLE and Vet Min. They also have their own free agents they need to decide if they want to bring them back (Sessions, Hill, Ebanks, and Barnes). They also have a TE they can use in a trade. Lots to keep track of. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

That may be the case - but i'm talking about Stern vetoing other teams trades. I don't see that happening - ever. What Stern did was deplorable, yes.. but to continue to hold onto that and insist that Stern is out to get the Lakers at all costs and will veto any and every trade he sees fit is comical.
IF that does happen though - I will gladly change my mind.. but I just don't buy into the whole thing that alot of other people do. |

I know you can make the argument that we shouldn't help the Nets in any form until we absolutely know we can't get Howard for himself but reports have them looking to shed guaranteed contracts. I'd love the Lakers to grab Anthony Morrow from them. |
