I honeslty have no idea why any Laker fan would want this (bleep)-made punk back on the team. Just now he's still not willing to commit to the Lakers. Why do you want a guy who doesnt even seem to want to be here? Who thinks he's better than he is, wont accept his role and does not have the game or mental toughness to lead this team in the future?
If he walks i truly would not give a damn at this point. It's not like the Lakers were this great championship contending team with him. If he walks, try to get something back in a sign and trade if you cant save the cap space for a TRUE superstar to come in here and carry on the tradtion. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

Dwight said don't read too much into him coming back!!!!
That's not exactly what happened. D12 had made a comment about regrouping next season and the reporter asked if that meant he was coming back or was he reading too much into what Dwight had said. Dwight answered that the reporter was reading too much into his prior comment.
If Dwight leaves, he leaves...I'm not losing sleep at the possibility.
If he chooses to stay, I hope he comes back with a serious mindset and learns to maximize his potential.
Right now, he's not a superstar. I know he expects that kind of money, and I know the Lakers will extend him a max deal on good faith...but I hope he's dead serious about earning that money if he plays for us.
If I was a betting man though, I wouldn't take the bet on Dwight. He just lacks the skill and the mental toughness to hang with the big boys. He got totally owned by a geriatric Duncan and bunch of Pop's stiffs in this series. It was pathetic.
YIKES...He was talking about next year and using words like "we" and "us," and a reporter asked if it sounds like he's optimistic about coming back to this team or if he was reading too much into it, Dwight said he's reading too much into it.
If Dwight is going to stay here, I say we pay him the most we can per year but on a shorter contract (3 years or so) so if he's constantly injured or crying about this or that, his financial burden to the team won't be toxic.
If I'm Dwight, I take the deal knowing I have an out sooner if things go poorly and I'm also getting more money (per season) than I would elsewhere.
Would Houston trade us Parsons for Gasol if they knew Dwight would not go? Parsons is very good, but a player like Pau makes them a very well rounded team.
No, we wouldn't. Adding Gasol and subtracting Parsons doesn't make us a title contender. Then we have to try to convince Gasol to resign and find another SF. Parsons is young and has arguably the best contract in basketball.
The Rockets can become more well rounded by signing Milsap or Jefferson and something else then spending all that $$ on Gasol.
D12 with Parsons and Harden on the perimeter? Damn.
A lot of things look good on paper. And then you actually play a game.
Regardless the rockets only have about 5 mil in cap space. It would have to be a sign and trade and Lin plus Asik ain't good enough.
Actually as is and depending who the cut they can have up to 15 million and can acquire even more cap space if for instance they trade Thomas Robinson for something like 2nd round draft pics and that doesn't even include what they could get for Asik or Lin if they trade either one of them.
One thing I have noticed about Houston is that year after year they have been able to remain competitive and at least stay within reach of getting to the play offs and each year they do it with ragtag group that should be in contention for a possible 1st round pick.
Point is while their Gm has had trouble getting a superstar year after year until last year he has always been able to put players together that make each other better and consistently overachieve which has always made them competitive much to the chagrin of their fanbase who has had to toil with being the final pick in the lottery year after year because of his success at keeping the team competitive.
That said if they are able to lure Dwight and then maybe pull a sign and trade for someone like a Josh Smith you can bet Morey is probably going to have the same kinda success at identifying under appreciated role players and cast offs who should be marginal yet somehow make each other better including his core he has built them around and that can be a scary team to contend with.
As is his team even though they are down 3-0 to the Thunder has stood toe to toe with them and if luck had bounced the Rockets way at the last moment like it did for the Thunder in those last two games you could easily see the the Thunder down 2 games to 1 to Houston. Not bad for an extremely young team made up of a superstar, one to three above average players and a bunch of cast-offs.
