There's a lot of RNG this early in the season. You can usually tell which teams are tough when you test rotations against them. Michlake has a very solid team, despite the slow start. Same goes for Runway8.

Sorry, I missed that you'd dropped/added players on the 3rd. It would have helped if the first page had been updated to reflect the change. Can any mod outside GT do that? He's got his hands full with so much.

It would also help if everyone listed player years and also DNP's in the Rotation thread. An example that would help us simmers greatly in simplifying and expediting the sim process would look something like this (and many guys are already doing this):

PG: [88-89] Player 1 (32) / [94-95] Player 2 (16)
SG: [78-79] Player 3 (30) / [80-81] Player 4 (10) / [02-03] Player 5 (8)
SF: [68-69] Player 6 (36) / [78-79] Player 7 (12)
PF: [02-03] Player 8 (35) / [05-06] Player 9 (13)
C: [82-83] Player 10 (36) / [94-95] Player 9 (12)

DNP: [91-92] Player 11, [65-66] Player 12

I can't stress enough how much time and effort it would save if everyone were to follow a simple format like that as opposed to us having to scramble from one web page to the next looking for all the vital information to get these sims run. It's how things get missed, unfortunately.

What's RNG? Random number generator?

Yeah. You can sim against a team 100 times and win at a fairly high clip, but when GT sims just one game, anything can happen. A few good teams started very slowly because a) they played mostly other good teams, and b) they were generally unlucky overall.

That's true. I've seen some pretty big swings on weird random stuff, but i think 15 or 20 in, we ought to know what's what. I'm not even messing with roster moves thus far.

I can help out with updating the first page rotations.

And just to reiterate, everyone should try to use this basic format for rotations:

PG: [88-89] Player 1 (32) / [94-95] Player 2 (16)
SG: [78-79] Player 3 (30) / [80-81] Player 4 (10) / [02-03] Player 5 (8)
SF: [68-69] Player 6 (36) / [78-79] Player 7 (12)
PF: [02-03] Player 8 (35) / [05-06] Player 9 (13)
C: [82-83] Player 10 (36) / [94-95] Player 9 (12)

DNP: [91-92] Player 11, [65-66] Player 12

I still have both teams saved. If both you and Michlake are okay with it, I'll re-sim with his current and correct roster.

Hey Mystic...we gotta re-sim the Boston/Brooklyn game. Brooklyn was supposed to be the home team.

Please make sure to use my current line-up (I had made a trade and I don't think the update made it's way into that game sim).

What trade are you referring to? Or do you mean the Hollins/Joe Barry Carroll swap?

Also, thank you so much for updating the first post in the rotations thread.

4ML, I'm sorry, but we're going to have to go with the 4th year for McGee. Allowing you to choose the 5th year would set a precedent that would convolute this process if others chose to do it, and everyone drafted their teams based on the premise that it would be the 4th best year. Sorry.

I think we could use one more person that can sim 1-2 games per day, or two people that can do 1 game per day. I really want to update the stats on a more frequent basis, but in order to do so I need to sim a little less.

Let me know if you think that's something you can do. It's probably about a 15-20 minute per day commitment if you're doing one game.

Much appreciated. I'll give you 1 or 2 games a day starting with the 11/2 contests.
