I got a little choked up watching that video. This could be his last year.

This is why people hate Lakers fans. Like what even in the (bleep) does this mean

I will always appreciate Kobe. He is simply the best. He is the greatest Laker of them all. His competiveness, his sheer will, his ability to elevate those around him, all the clutch shots, all the amazing individual performances especially in big games, and he's just a living legend. He really is. I don't think we'll ever see another like him in a Lakers uniform or even the NBA in general. He is a rare breed. My favorite player of all time.

Kobe has always proved the doubters wrong. I look forward to him doing it again. Showing he can still be a dominant force at times, can still be effective, and efficient. Can still be clutch, can be a leader, a good teammate, show some of these young guys how to play at this level. Not only this level, but for this franchise. How to conduct yourself. How to win. How to compete every single night.

Kobe is the same age as me, so I have a different connection as a fan. Every milestone at his age happened at the same time for me, so watching him was special. They'll never be another baller like him in PnG in my lifetime, it was a pleasure.

This is the end! It's time for some Lakers fans to realize what Kobe's done for us.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH MAMBA! IT'S BEEN A HELL OF A RIDE

Love Kob'. Glad to have another opportunity to watch him play the game this season. If the young guys do their job he should have a good season.

That opening with Chick telling Kobe that he had "19 or 20 seasons to play with the Lakers" brought some serious feels. Still miss him.

But what a great opening segment.

Mamba was hooping that half

It's just game one but out of all of his recent injury returns, his legs look a lot better than the past. Fresh, getting lift. His mobility on both ends of the floor honestly looks better than past times.

Loved the cross hezzy even though he missed. The turn arounds and pull up have pretty good balance.

Kobe is just so special. So grateful to be a fan of his and grow up on him. Mamba, you're the truth.

Some serious flashbacks tonight. I thought he looked fantastic. Had some tough looks in the second half and his shot stopped falling, but mamba reared his head a few times tonight and showed everyone he's still got it.

Stay healthy!

We have this guy that we play with every wed-fri; he used to play D1 ball, and is still better than most. At this point, Kobe is that guy. He needs to tone it down. Trying to be 23 year old Kobe is not good for anyone.

Thought Kobe looked great tonight. His shot didn't fall much in the 4th but the team was severely handcuffed by Scott and his coaching decisions. This game was a win if Byron doesn't crap it away

You say this because he had a few shots in the 4th that rimmed out?

Yes. Out of gas. Is this the type of Kobe you want to see this year? 24 shots in 28 minutes of play?

Looked way better than last year. That being said I think some shots he should've passed up.

Happy to see Kobe moving strong and fluidly.
