BREAKING: Jury has reached a verdict in Trump Organization trial. GUILTY ON ALL 17 COUNTS!
Yeah, but it is totally meaningless. None of the Trump family is involved with the trial, and even the fine is a slap on the wrist.
I wouldn't say it's meaningless. The Trump Organization is now officially a criminal enterprise. This will help the civil trial by the NY AG where the fines are potentially much more potential.
It’s meaningless in regards to the Trumps themselves actually being punished, even the NY trial. They’ll figure out a way around any fines. They always do.
No one said that this trial would be about Trumps as individuals, it was about their company. No one will deal with a criminal enterprise, especially since they already didn't have many lenders that wanted to deal with them in the first. And it will be used as evidence in other trials. The NY AG will seek a huge fine and a termination of the company. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

A friend of mine says that Trump’s fate is to always escape the noose but to be forever chased by the posse. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

So apparently it wasn’t an important erection for walker. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

It's clear now that Georgia, at least in national elections, is a blueish state. Dems will still rely at least in the short term on people that will vote for Kemp but will vote for Warnock.
Arizona is trending the same way.
With good candidates, Michigan and Pennsylvania are safe for now. Wisconsin is probably trending more red than the other two.
But Dems have enough to win the Electoral College in 2024, but they will probably have to re-take the House to avoid shenanigans by Republicans. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

It can't be overstated how important getting 51 seats was. Committee sharing agreement won't be in place anymore, and now appointments should go cleanly instead of being held up.

And I'm not saying it was either. It won't be the first of Trump's business enterprises to fail, and he always lands on his feet. That was true even when he was just a minor celebrity. It will be even more true now that he's a former president with a huge cult following. Trump will be fine and reinvent new ways to scam money, just as he always has. Neither this verdict, nor the upcoming NY trial is going to change that . . . THAT'S the point.
I know it feels good to see something finally happen, but in the long run, this is a nothing burger. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Well, it is the company, not Trump steaks or Trump mineral water or whatever. This is a bigger deal because it will have ramifications on his ability to run a business.
Of course he will still make money somehow as long as the cult is there, but I'll be happy if the Trump Organization is gone soon, and probably it will. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!
My favorite political streamer organized canvassing in Georgia with 300+ people knocking on doors in Savannah over the weekend. Its good to see so many young people engaged and having a great result like this.

A win is a win. However, to me, it's disturbing it was that close. How liars get and maintain traction is disturbing.
IMO a candidate with Herschel Walker's political intellect and moral mentality should have been beaten in a blowout. He would have been a Repuklican Pinocchio. His political ignorance would have put him at the mercy of the establishment.
Raphael Warnock's win weakens the powers of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. I hope it gives President Biden the needed support to make changes. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Germany arrests dozens as QAnon-inspired "Reichsbürger" group accused of plotting to overthrow government
. . . Berlin — Police have arrested at least 25 people tied to an alleged right-wing extremist plot to overthrow Germany's government. The group targeted in about 130 raids across Germany was described by prosecutors as being influenced by QAnon conspiracy theories and espousing a doctrine similar to that of far-right groups in the U.S. and across Europe.
. . . The group stands accused of planning to storm the Reichstag, or parliament building, as part of a wave of attacks aimed at precipitating civil war-like conditions in Germany. It also allegedly planned to attack the national power grid and to depose the federal government and take power by force.
