Why is he taking equal shots as AD in a 44pt game from the later tho? He should shoot less and feed our MVP caliber no1 option more _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

AD had 15 4Q points. LeBron looking for his own offense works in AD's favor as long as LeBron is pressuring the paint, which essentially explains the entire 2nd half. |

James is taking almost 22 shots a night tho, this and last season. last time he shot more than 20 was 2010 as a Cav. last time he shot more than 21 was before he won his first MVP in 2008. in his championship years between 2010 and 2020 he averaged less than 19 shots per game.
AD despite being in MVP form, is slightly above his Lakers average of the previous 3 seasons (17.4), as hes taking 17.8 shots a night. of the other MVP contenders, only Jokic is shooting less than AD, and KD is the only other one taking less than 20 shots a game. half of Lebrons 7 threes a night (a lot of early shotclock ones)/low percentage iso shots, can easily be setups for AD, but i guess catching Kareem asap is more important _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Now we're talking about two different things. LeBron's offensive approach in the game you initially referenced was completely different than that of the Pacers game, no?
His overall season stats do stick out like a sore thumb. No question. |

i didnt watch the Bucks game, was just an observation i had. i said the same thing earlier in the season, AD should be the unquestionable 1st option, especially playing like he is _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Agree. This was one of brons better games but let’s hope he doesn’t think “he’s back” because he’s not. He old and gassed easily.
AD should touch the ball every single time unless we are on the break. _________________ Kobe.

Best thing about the Bucks game was not a ton of Bron iso in the 4th. The Lakers spammed that Bron and AD pick and roll when Bron caught it a few steps inside the three point line on the wing and were highly successful generating great looks with it until Jrue started ICEing it. Just need to the counter to the ICE and we have a much better solution than the Bron ISO that’s been killing us down the stretch in our losses. |

This is always a struggle with a star of Lebron's caliber. The same thing that makes them great can make it tough when the decline hits to step back.
Lebron's instincts will kick in and he will always think "best chance for us is the ball in my hands making plays" because it has been that way since he was like 12 years old no matter who he plays with. That's hard to turn off. |

I like Grant Williams better, he is a much younger clone of Tucker, 6'6" 240-250 strong as a bull, an amazing 3 pt shooter, and like most Celtics, a good defender. Plus he is playoff tested and not afraid to hit big shots.
He is upset he didn't get an extension and may be available even though he will be restricted next year. |

Another great game from James. I’ll take them when I get them. He and Davis are having a hell of a few games. Just hope they can keep up the energy and efficiency this week. Some tough games coming up.
The man needs to stop with the monster dunks though. Had a couple tonight that looked like his legs were buckling when he landed. There was is no need for it. One of these times he is not going get up from one. |

Lebron will always put up big numbers. It's all the little things that aren't so little that we should be paying attention to.
Examples
-taking stupid 40 ft 3's
-standing like a statue on defense
-too much iso
-careless turn overs in crunch time
-trying to play hero in crunch time
There are more, but these are just some quick examples. |

These examples will continue to be the balancing point for James’ evaluation.
How often he settles or is “off” offensively felt compared to those games he is “on”. Depending on the night or performance will justify his pros outweighing the cons on any given night.
Amazing what he can provide with so many mins in those legs but Father Time is not losing this one, he never does. Still a very good player but the nights of being “Lebron F’n James” are limited and will continue to become less frequent.
Enjoy those nights or even the moments when we can. Be nice if there are some wins in the mix, not just following James ups and downs all season. |
