If Lebron carry the Lakers to 6th spot without AD, I think he should be the top MVP contender. |
It's happened. Westbrook won the MVP on a 6th seeded team. However, that team won 47 games. That's about the minimum team wins for an MVP winner, and it would require us to go 27-11 the rest of the way. Don't see that happening. |

It's crazy that Lebron can get a 30 point (almost) triple double while what seemed to be a poorly played game. I can't stand his late clock 3 point attempts. Attack the paint man.
And as much as I blame Ham, Lebron has to take some blame for those stupid late clock 3s at the end of the game. You're the leader man. Get your squad to shoot early. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

He has to change his approach to late game situations. I would rather he drive into a clogged paint and kick the ball out to a mediocre shooter over attempting a contested stepback three. |

Herein lies the problem also, he's not getting calls and he's reluctant to drive in knowing that. |

Those old legs gets way heavier now late in the game. Does not help that Ham continues to play him the whole 4th. He had like a 30secs rest in the 4th tonight?
Also who ever is guarding Westbrook late in the game just sags off towards the lane. Cut's off most of his lanes. It also does not help that he's not getting calls all season. Lebron right now is living and dying with those shots. |

Actually whoever is guarding any of our PGs(besides NUNN) could sag off, also our SG/SF, you name it. Whoever is closest to lebron will go double him |

0-3 from deep in the fourth quarter. Step-back LeBron is going to cost us nearly every close game down the stretch. |

I'd like to know the percentage for that sliding right three from the right wing. I can't remember that shot ever going in, but he seems to always launch one. Bizarre. |

I am very concerned about Lebron's usage. Yes, he's such great shape, but he is 38 years old and Mr. Ham is relying on him way too much. He's also running the floor alot and driving into the rim. Even younger players with his level of usage are getting injured. We're a twisted ankle or pulled 'gron' away from tragedy. |

Will always happen, Ham is in job preservation mode. He probably figures ride Lebron another month to scrape out some wins until AD gets back. |

Should be one of the priorities for our ballclub cause you know what you potentially get if you preserve him enough for a postseason bid…#thoughtbubble 💭
Who woulda thought loading up the deck with 7 guards, among them a supermax salaried former MVP, wouldn’t be enuff to justify keeping him offball and on the bench more during the regularSZN. That’s tuff!
Here’s a thought tho, if we’re going to have to keep him on the floor, make it easier on him & get him more size and shooting before our win-dow with him pops.
3 weeks left…
Quote: | Afterward,LeBron Jamessaid the Lakers have "zero room for error," given the injuries the team is dealing with.
"We are limited with bodies," James said. "So until some of our big guys or some of our key guys get back ... we got to continue to play how we've played the last couple games. Play mistake-free basketball."
James led L.A. with 32 points, nine assists and eight rebounds and was on the floor more than any other Laker -- logging 36 minutes, 30 seconds of playing time.
Coach Darvin Ham had said earlier in the month, "I just want to ride [James]" for as many minutes as is necessary to secure the win after the 38-year-old played 40 minutes at theCharlotte Hornets; but the Lakers coach changed his tune when considering James' workload against the Kings.
"I feel bad about that," Ham said. "He's playing at an amazing level, but we can't run him in the ground. That was one of my main goals coming into the season. Thirty-six and a half [minutes] the other night. We just have to manage him and have clarity in terms of scaling back his minutes some."
The minutes might have caught up to James in the fourth quarter against the Kings, as he went 1-for-7 in the closing frame, playing all but 25 seconds of it.

LeBron James over his last two games:
✅ 80 PTS
✅ 16 REB
✅ 18 AST
✅ 1 TOV
Since the NBA began tracking turnovers in 1977-78, the only other player to record at least 80p/15r/15a with one or fewer turnovers over a two-game span is Nikola Jokic.

Yup. Everyone in the arena and especially Lebron knows driving into the paint he will be met with rugby style defense and no whistle. Lebron in the paint in crunch time is basically a turnover.
Doesn’t help that he’s 38 and playing way too many minutes. But we’re kinda out of options right now. |

Sweet. Good to have a top 15 guy.
Hopefully AD can get back healthy.

What we need is for AD to come back and play like he did before he was injured, and for Lebron to continue playing like he has since AD went out.
If those two things happen, I don't particular care how people "rank" Lebron and AD -- we have a shot. Maybe not a great shot, given our poor team construction, but a shot.
And if both those things don't happen, we probably don't have a shot. |

Does he take some plays off defensively? Of course he does, he's 38 years old and playing heavy minutes. But overall, he isn't a bad defender by any stretch. |
