Kawhi was traded to the Raptors this morning and there are already reports that he does not want to play there. Depending on how things progress during the season, I wouldn't be surprised if they dealt him and they wouldn't have a problem sending him to the West/Lakers.

Raptors get Jimmy Butler to replace Kawhi/Derozan in the lineup. Jimmy might be more inclined to stay long term compared to Kawhi.

Wolves get Ball and Hart to strengthen the back court in addition to a 1st round pick. Losing Butler isn't as big of a loss because they already gave Wiggins a large contract. Also, Butler reportedly had issues with KAT and Wiggins. This might be an addition by subtraction trade. Thibs has history with Deng but if they don't want to take on his contract, it could be replaced with a mix of KCP, Stephenson, and other young guys not named BI/Kuzma.

Lakers give up Ball and Hart but get a potential top 5 player (when healthy) in Kawhi. They also maintain cap space to sign a 3rd All Star in 2019 free agency.
