Long live Ozzy!

Clarification for Patsy: The Oz once got arrested in the 80s for urinating on The Alamo. He also snorted a line of ants in lieu of coke.

295) Who came up w/ making medal and metal so close? A metal medal. That's dumb. Tell me who did that.

294) held-up. It's holed-up. Even newspapers bleep that up.

293) bomb, comb, tomb. You got 3 words separated by a letter, but pronounced 3 different ways. Must be the same dude responsible for 295.

292) pedal, peddle, petal. How come no pettle? You got pedal and petal, but not peddle and pettle. Otoh, you DO have metal, medal, peddle, and mettle. Why that and not pettle? I'm starting to suspect that Mule is responsible for this sh.

288.) retro-cool

Something that is so uncool, that it becomes cool. It can only become retrocool in a group when the majority of the group excluding the dumbasses can agree that whatever wasn't cool is now officially cool.

"One and a quarter million" is much more efficient to say than "one million, two hundred fifty thousand"

In The Untouchables, 1987, the lawyer says, "Sums in excess of one and a third million dollars" (crowd gasps). I wonder if it was actually spoken that way in the 30s. Reminds me of the lack of any contractions in the True Grit remake. Are contractions a more modern thing?

That's like saying, "Sums totaling almost one and a third million dollars..."

When people say "a minute" when they really mean "a while." For example, "I haven't seen you in a minute."

Apparently, Spirit isn't flying at all lately.

I can't accept this example. They are the very definition of a FBN crayon company. Their crayons are made of cheaper waxes than Crayola and they don't transfer pigment as well and they break easier. I hate using them in my coloring books. They don't have a sharpener on the box either, so it's harder for me to outline my shapes before I color them in. I'm one of those who like to do a strong outline and a light inner shade of the shapes/objects and it's harder for me to put the finishing black smiley face onto my Suns, which is what finishes barn/tree/sky/and grass scenes. I'll put my coloring books up against anyone else's on LG.

282) cumin

Doesn't sound appetizing. If someone told you, "There's cumin these beans n rice," are you gonna eat them? I wouldn't if I were you. You'll probably notice a funny odor when you draw the first bite to your mouth, tho.

Pretentious word for restaurants that serve basic food but want people to believe it qualifies as cuisine.
