Wow, so Cade going to Detroit.

Good for the Pistons. Last time they moved up they missed on LeBron and selected Darko. Cade should be a star/potential superstar for them.

If they include their own lightly protected future picks, they have the best star trade package available. Do they want to go all in on Curry?

Good team for Cade to go to as well. They have nobody besides Grant, so he can pretty much do what he wants with the green light he will automatically receive.

I like their young corps. Hayes, Stewart, Bey, Lee.

Screwed with the #2 pick, when it was a 48% chance it would be #18? Screw me some more please. Dream never lets us down.

Team also couldn't have properly tanked with Simmons.

No need to dump him. The team is rebuilding and he helps the tank process.

I know but 40 for 2 more is steep. Especially since both parties don’t seem to want each other.

Is the #2 a guarantee? Feels like they could gets some good pieces

Rockets got the 2nd pick and are likely drafting 7 Foot, DPOY, Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, explosive center Evan Mobley who will then be working extensively with Hakeem.

I think the Rockets are fine, considering the circumstances.

They're going to suck for another 1 or 2 years, but if they play their cards right, and keep drafting well in those couple of years, they could certainly be dangerous.

If we can identify players like Kuzma, Hart, Zubac, LNJ, THT, Thomas Bryant, Clarkson low in the draft... I don't get why people think we are helpless to identify a Cam Payne like value to replace Schroder.

We went years with only one or two bust picks.

I'm not saying we shouldn't sign Schroder (we've been through that hundreds of times today) I'm saying there's a limit to how much he can hold us hostage for.

IF he refuses to budge on a reasonable offer.

I'd believe in our front office's ability to find someone.

I can live with 18 million.

There are about three prolific posters here who are continuously propping Schroder up. If they shut up about him... then so will I.

I'm just trying to provide balance to the discussion.

I think Dennis is a good player. A good sixth man.

I just don't want to pay him 20 million plus.

I understand the reality of the situation... I realize if we can get him at a tradeable price that he will be of great benefit to the team.

I also realize that if we fail to find someone that he will be a serviceable point guard that will help guide us into the playoffs.

I just don't think with declining LBJ that he will get us to a title.

Maybe he'll prove me wrong... but in the meantime... sue me for aspiring for better.

It was worse before you joined. Once Schroder sh*t the bed in the playoffs they kind of chilled.

I've never said Dennis wasn't a good player... I just said I thought we could do better... but we cannot trade him if we overpay him too far.

If he returns to his OKC form and starts shooting 38% from three, I'll be fine with him. I like his fiery attitude.

When we first traded for him I was happy.

Then he demanded to start... his shooting was erratic during the regular season... then he turned down the 21 million per year contract... then he messed up with his Covid protocol... then I heard he was asking for 100 million... then he pulled the stunt with his Instagram the day we lost.

I didn't just decide one day to randomly pick on the guy... his attitude alienated me.

When I watched Cam Payne's interview tonight... it made me wish we had a player like him instead. But if you like Schroder... that is your right... not all of us have to share your feelings.

I think they'd rather pay Wall for 2 years than Westbrook for 3.

They're not going to surrender the #2 pick just to get rid of him.

For a rebuilding team, Wall's contract will turn into an asset. There will always be a worse contract that Houston can take on for additional draft capital.

That's one option. Or if some of their current picks pan out, they could sign some free agents themselves and have a good team.
