That's good to hear. Hopefully, things work out for both sides. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

A Russ/Bradley backcourt would be very intriguing.
Lakers could press fullcourt & Bradley can definitely hit the three.
Would also LOVE to get Batum.
He was so good for the Clippers last season and could easily start for the Lakers.
Also has the versatility to play 2-4.
He should be the Lakers main target for their MLE. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Avery Bradley, Otto Porter Jr, Patty Mills, Rudy Gay and Carmelo Anthony in free agency.
Multiple veterans are expected to take the minimum or the mid-level exception deal to sign with the Lakers |
|
If Avery was physically and mentally right, he would be an interesting replacement for KCP on the defensive side. Shot 42% from 3 in only 10 games for the Heat. And 27% in 17 games with the Rox. |
Would love to have him back. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

It would be better with the team we have to bring THT off the bench so he can play free and easy and be in attack mode.
That way he'll develop faster rather than having to fit in and be restricted to doing one or two things that he may not be good at (like hitting open 3s or defense). |

My ideal, assuming weâre not going to S&T DennisâŚ
AC & THT both re-signed
Otto Porter Jr for TPMLE
Avery Bradley for minimum
Rudy Gay for minimum
Dwight Howard for minimum
Markieff Morris for minimum (or slightly more if we can do that)
Wayne Ellington for minimum
Wes Matthews for minimum
Russell WestbrookâŚAlex Caruso
Talen Horton-TuckerâŚAvery BradleyâŚWayne Ellington
Otto Porter JrâŚRudy GayâŚWes Matthews
LeBron JamesâŚMarkieff Morris
Anthony DavisâŚDwight HowardâŚMarc Gasol |

So, we are still holding out hope for Buddy Hield?
So, it looks like we wonât be able to S&T Schroder and will watch him walk out the door for nothing? How can we avoid this? Seems like a wasted opportunity right? Meaning, if Schroder knows where he wants to go, canât we try and negotiate with that other team and do a S&T? |

Hield isnât coming I see us signing AC, THT, Wes, and maybe Keiff.. I think Melo is on the team for sure. Then Iâm curious what vet minimums players we can get and who we give the 5 mil to. |

I don't love the idea of keeping Wes Matthews. He's not a good 3-point shooter anymore and he's old.
I guess we could sign him for the vet min, but we shouldn't rely on him to be one of our main backups. |

I like the idea of Batum, even for MMLE. He really fills a need for this team with defense, size, and scoring ability.
Iâm not sure the Lakers would consider Avery again, but he also makes a lot of sense for a low cost KCP replacement. Much better defense than many of the other options out there and he can shoot pretty well (mid range & 3p). |

I could see JJ signing up, his defense is a total liability, but Iâm thinking realistically. |

Maybe he leaves knowing KL is hurt, but I would think the clippers would retain him. |

The whole "on the bench" section is unrealistic. Those guys aren't coming here for cheap to be deep bench players. |

This deal could still go down. How come nobody told the players about the Hield trade falling apart? You would think Rob and Klutch would give them a heads up.

So what does this all really mean?
Hield trade was agreed upon, then Westbrook trade took over? Sounds fishyâŚ
Unless we need to wait for everything to shake out and we get both Westbrook and Hield.
Chances of that? 1% maybe? |

The way some of that is reported (eg trez opting in figuring he will be in sacto) left me with the impression that some of this blind sinded narrative is trying to suggest lakers were semi under-handed, which i doubt happened.

Agree but almost zero % chance it happens. He was livid when he got traded this past season because he wants to be out east coast with his family. LA is literally the exact opposite of what he wants. He made that VERY CLEAR when he was traded to Dallas. He wants to be in Brooklyn where his son is entering 1st grade. |

It sounds to me Trez opt in and thought he was going to the Sacramento Kings. His agent didn't tell him he was going to Washington and I find that hard to believe. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Yeah he's not ready yet. Hopefully he's been in the gym this summer working on a three point shot. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |
