What talk of Danny Green? A bunch of wannabe GM's on the internet? And yes, I'm included in that group. |

coming off the bench I'd probably get Kemba. I mean Kendrick Nunn was supposed to fill that role and he hasn't played through a 4th of the season so who knows when he'll be ready if ever. At least Kemba is in shape and up to NBA speed and could fill the same role. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

lol Caruso is 7th in the league in RAPTOR per 100 and 8th in RAPTOR WAR. He's even more of a plus/minus king this year.
We lost him for nothing, for (bleep) nothing |

But the Lakers have the Big Three and 7 HoFs.
And they won a Championship 2 years ago.
So why worry? |

Asset management…that’s why!
The only way you got to the big3 are via assets.
-James through free agency via assets to move off of deals like Mosgov
-AD through a trade involving established asset & draft capital
-Russ through a trade involving assets
We are only legitimately sitting on THT/Nunn/2027 1st rounder as immediate above average assets to move this year to improve our title shot. Denver took a hit with MPJ’s injury and Murray having to work back into basketball shape…BK took a hit with Joe Harris’s recent injury and Ky’s unpredictable availability…the cLips are without Kawhi…
So with Bron confronting bball mortality, you have to exploit the here & now. We saw what a 4month reCOVIDry window gave to Bron/AD and a vet team involving Rondo, Dwight & Green.
If we had AC (we had full bird rights), Kieff (had early bird rights to pay him up to 10.5m), Wes (had nonbird rights to pay him up to 4.3m based off his previous BAE amount) & whatever Schro brought back in a S&t or a re-up (via his full bird rights), then you can add all those assets as salary fodder in addition to the aggregated 14.5m that a THT/Nunn package would be.
#PoorAssetManagement is a thing with this FO and we pissed it away due to a tax bill (that potentially could see another COVID forgiveness tax cut that was observed last season when taxes were cut by 30%).
Moving on….Kemba for Wall possibly in the works???
Quote: | So what do the Knicks do now with their prized offseason addition? Multiple league sources believe the Knicks will look to trade Walker, whose value on the trade market, much like his production, is at an all-time low.
A source close to the Knicks indicated New York may also have a potential trade partner in the Houston Rockets, who are eager to move John Wall. Like Walker, Wall has had his share of injuries that have factored heavily in him not playing at the level that made him an All-Star from 2014 to 2018. In fact, Wall hasn’t played in an NBA game since April 23, 2021. And while Wall not playing in Houston was agreed upon by both sides earlier this season, he and the Rockets are reportedly having conversations about a return to the active roster.

Also we are a .500 team having the 2nd easiest schedule so far (only the cLips had it easier than us in strength of schedule). Moving into December and into the playoffs, we will have the hardest remaining schedule in the league. Buckle up….

He's talking about the present, you're talking about the past.
It's great we won a ring two years, but that says nothing about the team today.
How big a deal is it to have "7 HoFs" on your roster if most of them are at a point in their careers where they are no longer playing at a Hall of Fame level?
Seems like that's just focusing on resumes rather than reality. |

Going into the offseason our only guaranteed tradable salary is THT since Nunn's contract is a player option. And we have no 1st this year, nor could we trade a first in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 because of the options on the picks we owe New Orleans. If the Lakers are looking at salary matching, this is the season to use Tucker + Nunn to do something more significant. They're both Klutch and it's not clear what they can get you. Plus, taking on salary would be pretty expensive given where our payroll is at. |

i agree, the problem is AD is not carrying his weight. AD is the weakest link on this team. he supposed to be the no. 1 option on both ends of the court if he asks for it. i truly believe LeBron (unlike Kobe) will be glad to pass that baton to AD. but now we're so relying on a 37 year old LeBron while our 27 year old super star is taking it easy. |

maybe Lakers should explorer option at trading deadline to dump THT for some expired K, and sign Nunn in the off season. Lakers can still sell high on THT since he's only 21 years old, but they have to do that before his value gets lower by each game. the guy's basketball IQ and inability to make jump shot is hurting his value. |

Here are some THT trade possibilities:
THT for Cam Reddish
THT for Mo Bamba
THT for Chris Boucher
If you want something more bigger you likely need to attach Kendrick Nunn to a THT centered trade to get a Buddy Hield or Jerami Grant. |

Christian Wood might become available in trade talks, If I’m the Clippers I package Zubac and other sweetners to land him, especially if they have motivation to compete.. they have no incentive to tank with all those draft picks they traded away. |

The hate Bazemore gets on this board is hilarious.
He is a:
1. minimum salary guy
2. One of our best defenders at the 2 (i know not saying much)
3. Is a guy who benefits from a good system--which we sporadically run.
Kemba is a horrific defender who can't get to the rim anymore. His 3 point shooting is as anomalously high as Bazemore's is low. You think he's gonna come here and shoot 40%? We have enough undersized guards making rim protection life hell for Anthony Davis. |

No need to tell me what kind of value Bazemore brings, I was excited we signed him but it just hasn’t worked out so far, he was actually doing solid when the season started playing defense and hitting the corner 3 then for whatever reason fell off the cliff in terms of level of play, at least Kemba gives us another potential weapon off the bench especially if we send out THT and Nunn in a trade this season. |
