Can someone explain the love affair with Cam Reddish?

He's not very good on offense, but he makes up for it by being a mediocre defender. He was the best player on his college team at Duke, except for the two guys who got drafted ahead of him. He couldn't get minutes off the bench for a bad Knicks team. All things considered, he'd be a solid upgrade for us on the wing.

Houston did all that tanking to pick #3.

It's arguably a drop-off after the first 3 players, and each one of those guys has a case to go #1. Mission accomplished. With the new lotto odds, odds were > 50% that we dropped to 4 or worse. Last year it was coinflip odds to lose the pick to OKC entirely.

We've been fortunate the last two lotto's.

That's how I see the draft, too. In a way, your front office caught a break. They won't need to make a judgment call. They'll just take whichever of the three is left. Overall, it strikes me as a draft that is wide (a lot of good prospects) but not deep (few if any potential superstar prospects). The draft evaluator types think that there is a drop off after the top three, but really the top three aren't projected to have extraordinary ceilings. I've seen the kid from Auburn compared to Rashard Lewis. Yay, I guess. But, as we all know, kids can surprise you, both positively and negatively.

The full MMLE is unlikely to be enough for Monk, let alone part of the MMLE.

In any case, half of the MMLE isn't that far off the vet minimum, so splitting it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I know its not true but would be intriguing. a trio of Zach/Ben/AD would be really nice.

Cuffs is known to be a guy who gives out hints and signs so he may very well know that Irving is trying to force his way to the Lakers but doesn’t wanna make it obvious.

I've wanted Kyrie on the Lakers for years.

I've always loved his game & his fearlessness.

I just want him on the Lakers with LeBron elsewhere.

I don't think reuniting the two would work.

I may be naive for saying this, but I think his love & respect for Kobe would go a long way with how he would approach being a Laker.

He would want to make Kobe proud.

All the drama he's had in the past & with other teams, I don't think he would have the same issues here in Los Angeles playing for the Lakers.
