It’s arguable that Melo would have had a chance to make a few title runs if not for Kobe getting in his way.. similar to Jordan preventing Malone from winning a ring. |

I think tbh Melo would have started his career with 3 rings if he was drafted by Detroit instead of Denver.
Then how do you think history would look at him vs LeBron. It's interesting to think about. Especially the duels they'd have had in the 2005-2006 and 2007-2006-2007 Eastern Conference semis and conference finals where Detroit likely beats the Cavs both years on their way to the Finals. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yeah, can’t figure how the hell the Pistons picked Darko when Melo was up there for the taking. |

Yeah considering that Pistons team was the one that beat us, imagining Carmelo and the rookie year he had. Combined with him coming into the NBA with a coach like Larry Brown, and veterans like Sheed and Wallace and everything.
It probably would have been very helpful to his career, especially coming in as a winner to a winning franchise. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Welp, that's one bidding war obstacle gone that Dennis the Menace was counting to boost his salary estimate this off season. That is unless the Knicks expect to pay a combined $40 million a year for their PG and back-up PG.

I literally said the same thing when Leonard bailed on us, but we won a championship anyway so I won't complain. |

Brogdon is gonna be more of a necessity next year because we are gonna need another scorer to give LeBron more rest. |

It’s 13m total...about 3m per and of that, only this year is guaranteed too.
Solid deal by NY along with the deal they made earlier for DRose... it sure looks like the Dolan (bleep) show is finally curtains. |

NY need a star difference maker and someone who can put them over the top, it’s not surprising that they likely are passing on Schroder they are probably gonna try to pry Beal or Lillard this summer. |

Ah, I misread it. I guess the DS bidding war is inevitable. |

Yeah, but they'll have a bajillion dollars available in cap space, and the pressure will be on him to spend it to keep the Knicks' success momentum going forward.
I don't think the free agent class next off season is particularly strong, so DS is betting that he'll garner interest from teams like NY. |

love melo. I am so stoked for him he found a rebirth at a place that has embraced him. Even though jailblazers are one of our historic rivals I like seeing him do well. |

I think if we end the season badly, most of our free agent will leave the team. |

I guess he is trying to deflect blame for his horrible roster construction. Zion gets plenty of calls. |

LaVine might want out of Chicago, while the Bulls might go after Lonzo and/or Schroder.
I’ll take that S&T. Donovan gets his PG.
Grandpa LBJ and AD get the player whose prime aligns with AD. We probably lose THT in any trade for LaVine though. |

Umm that would be phenomenal. But we’d have to probably include multiple future 1sts too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I can’t imagine why the Bulls would make that trade. We don’t have any high quality filler to sweeten the deal. THT and future non-lottery picks wouldn’t get it done. But I’ve been wrong before. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |

We’re kinda desperate for a playmaking guard and he wouldn’t be my 1st choice, but beggars can’t be choosers. I’m intrigued...

And I know Dudz is a great guy and all, but seriously the last two years has been a waste of a roster spot. |

Obviously the Bulls aren’t getting rid of LaVine unless he wants out...but there were rumblings during this season.
It’s more likely that it won’t happen, but who knows. |

I was assuming a scenario in which he wants out. I just don't think the Bulls would be tempted by a package of something like Schroder on a sign-and trade, THT (which would also need to be a sign-and-trade, I believe), and some non-lottery picks. Unless they happen to be in love with Kuzma, we don't have much to offer. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved |
