Negligent move by the medical staff. Clearly not ready to play. Groin strains take weeks to heal. We're back to the Gary Vitti days. |

Whoever signed off on AD playing tonight is a (bleep) moron and needs to be fired ASAP. That kind of incompetence is unacceptable at any level of sport. |

Fireable offense simply because they put AD's career in jeopardy. Lakers need him for the long haul. |

Things change quickly. But as things stand now. Getting a 3rd star doesn't look likely.
With that being the case, upgrading either Bron or AD is the only other option. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

The only positive is that they escaped the season without having an ACL or Achilles level injury that would have meant no AD next season.
At least he can fully rest, get strong, fit, and we can load manage him next season. Huge difference in offseason.
The lone positive is none of these injuries are career altering or going to impact next season.
But damn, what an ugly season and way to go out. |

You guys called him soft and all sorts of other names but now when he tries to tough it out you blame the medical staff? Stupid (bleep). _________________ Don't let perfect be the enemy of good |

Never called him soft. Dude sacrificed and won a ring. They need injury prevention specialists or some outside the box approach to treating his ailments. Someone brought up load management, which seemed to have worked for Kawhi. How he's being managed is a big function of the organization and NBA as well. |

Please fam. AD is a champ and part of our future. Be a generous person and at least wish him a speedy recovery. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Wishing him a very speedy recovery, but also recommending that we load manage him next season. No back to backs. Maybe 65/82 games. |

Hope we find out who had final say on AD. Even if Vogel trusted the training staff to make the call he has to have an eye for that. I'd hate to lose a good defensive coach but that's negligent. |

Stop putting non shooting centers around him and LBJ. How many years do we need to put parking brakes on them? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I have said this before, but does anyone else remember his “heel contusion” last post season where he was grabbing his Achilles.
I think he’s was hurt and never had time to recover. |

Is Kuz, 22 amd a 2nd enough? If trezz and DS walk, you could still use the MLE on a shooter and have a descent squad. Guessing LBJ recruits DRose for the MLE.
DRose
KCP
LBJ
Davis
Turner
Caruso
THT
Wes (resigned)
Kieff (prior table agreement)
Robin Lopez Vet min
Ben Mac for vet min
Still need a defense swingman |

Thanks for trying to fight through it, AD. Don't let dumb old pricks like Barkley get to you - you're a true champion and he isn't. _________________ Under New Management |

The Lakers present & future goes through the health of AD. Bron is an elite floor raiser still, but AD is the one that raises the Lakers ceiling as contenders. AD is a Laker through and through. Demanded to be traded solely to the Lakers, took on the challenge of bringing the Lakers back to prominence that other supposed Superstars preferred being a big fish in a small pond, and had an all time great title run as a big man that delivered number 17 to the Lakers. AD badly needed an offseason and time to rest up and heal the most. We saw even in this year's playoffs when AD is playing at a high level, the Lakers looked like title favorites against the Suns in games 2 & 3 when the Lakers were up 2-1. AD's injury in game 4 just gutted the team and the team sensed they didn't stand a chance in game 5 and in that 1st quarter in game 6 when AD got hurt again.

Shooting centers who can defend are rare and expensive or else they're old like Marc. _________________ Under New Management |

We have two options in my opinion..
Get Davis a solid 4/5 that can reduce his load during the season..
Or Move Davis for an elite 1/2 legitimate option next to Bron for the remainder of his career.
The only reason why I'd entertain moving Davis is because of his history of being injured. It's nothing personal, you can appreciate what he's done for us and value him as a player while at the same time acknowledging that his fragility is an issue. |

I've asked this thread multiple times what is a trade comp for Brow. I'm thinking Lillard is fair. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Embiid? Lol I’d include joker but he doesn’t really defend the paint |

Sounds fair on this end.. but I'm a bit bias lol. I'm not really sure what kind of haul you'd get for Davis. Healthy he's a top 5 player in this league. I don't know that we could actually get equal value for him. |

Why would you trade Davis?
If FO made the improbable decision to break up the pairing, you trade James.
Adding a couple younger players to form a trio with Davis would be the move. |
