AD's RAPTOR per 100 rankings over time (plus-minus statistic that measures the number of points a player contributes to his team’s offense and defense per 100 possessions, relative to a league-average player)
2013-14: 31st
2014-15: 3rd
2015-16: 39th
2016-17: 18th
2017-18: 11th
2018-19: 6th
2019-20: 5th (Lebron was 4th) Special team right there
2020-21: 26th
2021-22: 50th
2022-23: 4th (LeBron is 114th) |

Engaged, healthy AD is a nightmare for opposing teams. As long as the rest of the team can pull their weight, and we can flip Russ for quality contributors, I'm high on this team. |

AD alone at this level makes the Lakers respectable and a playoff 1st round/play in team. The only thing we need to hope is he avoids injury. He’s playing unreal. I just don’t know if he can keep this up and not get burned out and eventually injured. He’s playing like a MVP right now. |

Can you imagine having a deep quality squad around this AD? Crazy. Anyway, I hope this ends the talk that he doesn’t care, he is no longer an elite player etc etc. He was worth every trade asset the Lakers gave up.
And in saying that as big a fan as I am of his, I hope some team offers us a boat load of assets for him and we bite. We don’t have the pieces to compete for a title with this version of Lebron, and so much $$$ invested in a MLE level 6th man. |

AD when playing like this is a monster on both ends. His jumper is looking better lately too |

Other fans on twitter especially btchass Warrior fans talk so much crap when the Lakers lose and when AD gets hurt.
Dead silence right now.
Keep ballin AD. Fk the media, other fans, and some laker fans that have hated on you the past couple years. |

Disagree. They could have kept a pick or two and added protections. It just means the stakes are much, much higher this season. |

You rather imagine getting pics for AD and go on a tank-a-thon than imagine getting help for AD and go on a winning streak? The way the team is playing how could you? With the way AD is playing along with LBJ/Lonnie/Reeves/WB you don't see a path to winning? Also, even though Ham hasn't been using Bryant and TBjr much they both look very serviceable as back-up deep reserves.
This team looks as if it can win...and win big with one or two more pieces. I always believed that but respected others' opinions when they said we can't during the losing streaks. However, it looks undeniable now, that it is worth trying to win. Planning on blowing it up now imo just shows the comfortability with losing as the preference than trying to win. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. I am so happy for AD. He has gotten so much hate and trash talk the past few years.
People forgot how good AD is. I saw a clip last week where Giannis was naming the 5 best Americans to go against international players 5 on 5. He named Bam over AD. Bam is a very good player of course, but stop playing with AD's name. |

So has AD been playing hurt the past couple years or was it because Vogel and Pelinka wanted to get cute and ask him to hang out at the three point line and take more threes or was it both?
I really want to know where this AD has been the last couple years after the championship. I'm glad AD's back. Tell a friend. Now it's almost like we are favored to win it all if everyone stays healthy and AD continues playing like this. |

Prolly went to a farm and drank raw milk. It's the only explanation for the turnaround. Hopefully he stays healthy. |

Combination of both imo.
AD’s health and focus. Also the added weight was a detriment to his game.
And Ham is just pretty legit at offensive schemes (similar to Ty Lue). |

As much as I like Vogel, I've always hated when he wanted AD to become a three point shooter. I'm glad Ham is maximizing and optimizing AD's potential. It's so basic and easy. Just get AD the ball when he's under the basket.
He was almost automatic like Shaq when caught the ball under the basket except he could shoot free throws much better. |
