The problem is that Kawhi is a way better player without his athleticism than AD is.
If AD could shoot 40% from three, then he would no longer need to justify himself by leaping out of the building.
What he should do is continue to work on his three and just resign himself that he is not going to be the dominant defensive force he once was.
Aim to be a top 30 player instead of a top five... except during the late playoffs.
I think he feels like he has to justify the steep rice we paid... but he's just not going to stay healthy that way. |
I agree with the Kawhi talk.
But a grounded AD is no slouch either.
I'm glad we gave up all that rice to get AD _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

you know... i still think we gave up one pick swap too many for AD, but even despite AD's injury history, the trade was pretty fair.
lonzo makes AD look like AC Green (The Iron Man)
josh hart had a moment for a bit, but is now out of the rotation with the blazers
De'Andre Hunter with the #4 pick - he would have been a nice piece for the lakers. of course we could have also had darius garland.
we always knew it was gonna cost us brandon ingram to get AD - he's hardly been reliable either |

^ Josh isn't out of rotation with the Blazers. He went out with a hamstring injury a couple of games ago |

Guys help me out.
That foul that Boston made on AD that was reversed... Was it not a foul? I feel like I'm losing my mind. Didn't the defender loosen the ball by hitting ADs arm? _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

Itβs not even about the ball. Itβs about the left hand that has ad by the shoulder and jersey. Same way ad got an offensive foul which JvG scofffed at for pulling his arms loose from Brogdon when Brogdon had his labors locked around him so he couldnβt use an arm and jump. But ad was told he dislodged Malcolm |

Yes that was one more egregious call, what's a big supposed to do in this game, just yield position and lie down? Up until that point I thought that that was the worst call of the game, only to be proven wrong just a couple minutes later. |

Did anyone on this board foresee that AD would not even make the All-Star team as a reserve?? |

Stay healthy AD. You're gonna be big for us in the playoffs, like you usually are. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!! |

This is the Laker tax in motion. |

He has already entered the mentality of sitting on the bench and getting paid anyways. Missing an all star game shouldnβt bother him. |

Now imagine him on the Celtics with Tatum, Smart, Brogdon, (not to mention White, Horford, Gallo) in a proposed deal for Brown as suggested in this very thread earlier this season /smh |
