Should be traded for a real starting wing player when eligible.

With Nunn, Monk, Ellington and Bazemore not to mention Russ, he's
extremely expendable.

The one young asset we have who is still younger then a lot of rookies, let's just throw him away haha

He is mos def. not "extremely expendable" at all. I don't think he's off limits either but he's not going to be dealt because of the collection of minimums we have on the roster.

10,000 different ways to express how dumb this post is.

THT is no better or no more special than any of the other young talent we've let go of to maximize Bron's window.

Let it become apparent the Lakers struggle with containing a lot of the elite wings in this league & they have an opportunity to get a player to help them address that weakness, THT can go too.

No player outside of LeBron and AD are untouchable & you'd be extremely foolish to think otherwise.

The Lakers honestly do not give a damn about the future, its strictly win now mode & if THT can fetch them a piece that's going to make them a better and more balanced team he'll get shipped too.

They have a ton of guards on this team to replace THT's production.

Probably a couple who are actually better.

I dont care if they're on vet min. deals for one year because positioning themselves THIS YEAR to best win a title is all that matters.

Worry about next year & 2 or 3 seasons from now when they come.

Drew League is the real NBA! Rather than get #18, Lakers should move out of the NBA and into the Drew League to get #1!

Who can we trade THT for that can address our weakness of containing elite wings?

He makes around 10 million a year. Provide an example of a wing stopper that we can obtain by only trading out THT. Seems like any trade worth it would need to include THT, Nunn, Baze, and Ellington to match salary.

Robert Covington
Taurean Prince
Cam Reddish

Three off the top of my head that would be outstanding fits for this team.

If Monk and/or Nunn end up outplaying THT I wouldnt hesitate to move him.

A lot of fans have him slated to play a bunch of minutes @ the three and IMO he's going to get eaten alive by the wings in this league.

His best position is at back up PG where he could use his size advantage but as I've said, the Lakers are a guard heavy team this season.

Move him for a long, athletic defensive minded wing if it becomes apparent that our lack of having one is a glaring weakness.

I remember a time when Lakers prospects could play good in the Drew League and it was said it didn't matter cause they gotta do it in a real game, but if they struggled in one Drew League or Summer League game, they were apparently a bust.

I doubt the same will come down on THT for getting "Garbage Truck of the Summer" in this game and getting destroyed on both ends though, as he's liked.

Now if this had been Lonzo back when he was a Laker, you'd get a 10 page thread about it.

Is Drew League stronger than the G League? We’ve seen THT do great in the G League already.

We’ve seen him do great in the NBA and lead the team in scoring 3-4 games.

Keith Smith: Talen Horton Tucker’s new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the few non-minimum deals LA signed this offseason: 21-22: $9,500,000 22-23: $10,260,000 23-24: $11,020,000 Final season is a player option. No trade bonus in the deal. @spotrac

You had to figure Klutch was going to get their pound of flesh with THT’s deal. At that pay rate the third year really should have been a team option, but it’s a player option instead. His combined salary in his first four years now puts him on par with a top five pick plus in year five the option is his to make $11m or hit unrestricted free agent (the top five pick is restricted).

Fun Fact

Olympic Gold medalist Breanna Stewart has the same height and wingspan as THT.

Pretty cool being that the top of his class was Zion, Ja, and Barrett.

Have we implemented a ban all Clippers fans policy here?

I guess not considering VLF is still here too.
