Miss this version of AB. I get he's a filler but hope we can retain him somehow.

We didnt really need him before with KCP also being here but now we need him more than ever. AB is probably going to be like our 2020 Dwight....a critical piece to a title run. Also I dont care what the numbers say.....a big shot I want Bradley taking it than Bazemore....not to mention I think Bradley is still a notch above Bazemore defensively

Bradley
Baze
LBJ
Davis

I’d go with that 5. Healthy you bring Nunn, THT, Howard off the bench. Monk if he can learn defense. That’s my 9.

Use Melo/Rondo/Jordan sparingly.

Bradley played well tonight. I wasn't sure what to expect from him after watching him rot away last season. Vogel's best decision of the night was bringing him and Bazemore in during the fourth. It upped the defensive intensity and provided some shooting.

It wasn't enough to turn the game around but it was nice to see AB make some impact.

Conversely, he worst decision was not bringing him in during the third quarter when our bench guys were being roasted like marshmallows out there...or MonkMelos as the case may be.

DB in playoff mode already.

You can’t tell people anything once their mind is made up. What he did tonight is the same thing he brought to the team before the Covid shut down. Anyone who has hurt feelings because he didn’t finish that season needs to build a bridge and get over it, including Lebron or whoever else controls the team. Their best perimeter defenders are gone and he’s the best they’re going to do at this point. All that garbage about him not being able to shoot is…..garbage. I prefer him shooting 3’s over AD, Westbrook, and Bazemore.

AB should see a good amount of time against the Suns who are guard dominant.

Watching Bradley chase around Steph was a thing of beauty, even if only for a short stretch. Dude still has his legs

I agree. He really picks up the defensive intensity and it can be contagious. This is what he did with the Lakers 2 years ago. He could definitely be a value to the team.

I think the Lakers have to put him in the regular rotation, not sure who in place of..Rondo? Or simply keep the regular rotation and add him in.

Bradley/Bazemore needs to be our 2 guard rotation until our defense begins to settle in. Bradley won't make his 3s like he did last night, regularly. But the D will be there. He is also like Dwight 2 years ago, playing for his NBA life. He is on a non-guarantee and is clearly still a NBA level rotation guy in the right situation.

Avery Bradley is on a non-guaranteed deal so I can see the Lakers waiving him once Talen Horton-Tucker and Trevor Ariza get healthy. It would cost the Lakers $7M in combined payroll and luxury tax expenses if Bradley becomes guaranteed and finishes the season with them.

You realize you are comparing apples and oranges right? The total tax hit for Bradly could be $7 million. The total hit for AC would have been $40 million I think. (Don't get me wrong, I love AC and wish they would have kept him too, but it is what it is.)

This part is key. They have until early January to waive him without taking the tax hit

Be kinda pissed if they take this tax hit but couldn’t go from $7m to $8.6m for AC

Hopefully AB keeps making me look like a fool. Get him minutes over Melo, Monk, or Rondo, take your pick, if he keeps playing like this.

I’d go with that 5. Healthy you bring Nunn, THT, Howard off the bench. Monk if he can learn defense. That’s my 9.

Use Melo/Rondo/Jordan sparingly.

Just an assumption but as with Drummond, I think that promises were made to DJ.

How about a Russ/Bradley back court for now? Hell, let AB play point, let Russ play the off ball slasher.

We gotta bet him comfortable out there. Let him build up his confidence and dunk over foos!

If we do that, start AD at the 5, LBJ at the 4, baze at the 3. Some semblance of defense.

I'd be surprised if DJ gets that type of treatment. Drummond was considered a prized waiver pickup. DJ not so much.

I like starting Howard and Bradley with the other 3. DJ can sit on the bench and be a cheerleader, that guy offers nothing that someone else wont provide more.

DJ is done, clearly Love would be brought in and play some backup 4 and 5 with AD starting at 5. Dwight should remain off the bench to preserve his fouls.

Besides providing some much needed perimeter defensive presence, having AB also helps 'motivate' the rest of the guys to put in effort defensively outside of Baze.

Might prove to be one of the key pieces for us this season
