Flippers still load managing even with them just 4.50 GA ahead of 7th spot.

And giving games to weak teams.

I could care less about how good the shooters are on that team but good on Rondo as he did help us win #17

He's worth the 8 mill a year. He's arguably the smartest player in the league.

Rondo hasn’t faced a defense, like the Lakers defense either!

Happy for the clips, rondo is an excellent fit for them. Lakers will still beat them in a series tho.

Detroit had a 5 point lead with only 40 seconds left and they proceeded to turn the ball over and give up 7 straight points and lose to the Kawhi/PG-less Clippers lol

The Clippers are 7-0 with Rajon Rondo.

They have outscored opponents by 71 points when Rondo in on the floor in that span.

Really wish they didn’t get Rondo. He slows the game down and they can go to him in pressure situations.

I would trade anyone on the team right now not named LeBron and AD (and THT) for Rondo

Absolutely gutted that Rondo is on the Clippers, and having a huge impact to boot.

Some of you need to rethink your obsession with Raja Rondo.

First, he's a competent NBA point guard, very high IQ, but his impact is limited. In his long career, he has won 2 NBA titles, both with stacked teams, and on one (the Lakers) he played a very limited role. He's moved around the league so much that he's arguably a journeyman. His shooting is streaky. His defense is acceptable. As I said, he's a very smart veteran guard that knows what to say and when. The Clippers gave up a competent bench scorer in Sweet Lou, who could easily give you 20 plus points on any given night. Rondo can't do that. Not much of a needle-mover, other than his ability to regulate a Clippers team when they get sloppy.

As far as the Detroit game. I literally studied the last quarter of that game, especially the last few minutes. Rondo didn't win that game for the Clippers. The fact is that the Pistons are one of the worst NBA teams that I've seen in years. They played that last 5 minutes literally like a nervous high school team. Even the coach seemed nervous. I have never seen a more incompetent, bumbling, horrid display of NBA basketball (by so called professionals) than what the Pistons exhibited the last minutes of that game, and I am not exaggerating here. Casey should have been fired immediately.
And of course, the Clippers were so happy and excited, as if they actually accomplished something.

I will say this, although Rondo is a marginal pickup, the Clippers struck gold by getting Reggie Jackson. That guy is 10 times better than Rondo and is extremely undervalued. He, not Rondo, is why the Clippers beat down the 3rd worst team in the NBA. Would love to have RJ on this Lakers team.

Lou is arguably the worst playoff performer in NBA history going by relative efficiency. Rondo was our 3rd best player in the bubble. His minutes are very valuable, limited or not.

Because Rondo doesn't score 20 points a game he is not a needle mover? Did you know there are other things in basketball besides scoring points? Regulating a team is probably as or more important if it gets the team clicking on all cylinders.

a) Rondo since joining the Clippers is averaging a ridiculous plus/minus of +14.6.

b) Lou since joining the Hawks is only a +1.1.

Who cares if you score 20 points a game when you're a black hole not making an impact to the team.

Rondo was garbage in regular season But in playoffs he was just amazing. he gave LBJ rest. If you think DS is going to help Bron rest in playoffs

Getting Rondo for Lou is an amazing signing. Clippers got rid of 2 empty stats guys in Trez and Lou. we got 2 empty stats in Trez and DS

Where Rondo helps is he has balls and isn't mentally weak like the rest of the Clippers stars / squads

He gives them confidence in situations where they would typically have choked it up

That’s the biggest value. Kawhi now has help when PG starts choking.

Lou and Rondo are very different players. But it reminded me of Lakers trading Ceballos for Horry.

Yeah, the way I remember it, 21 year old Rondo was as important as the Big three during their title run. I remember it irritated me that they kept calling them the Big 3... when they would have never won without Rondo that year.

LOL, Rondo's close to being the most traded active player in the NBA. Wonder why.

And calling all the points Lou scored "empty"? Right.

You need points to win games, last I checked.

I stand by my assessment. Rondo is overrated here on LG. Good player. Has his value. But is not a magic bullet.

BTW, Rondo played the least amount of minutes during that game, 2nd only to D. Cousins. He scored 6 points.

On another note, Wow about Lamarcus Aldridge. Hope he's okay.

Lol, Rondo's only been traded TWICE in 15 years.

Sweet Lou is averaging 12 points, while his team is giving up 11.

Rondo is averaging 6.5 while helping his team outscore opponents by almost 15 points. Yes, points win games.

Rondo left the Lakers. He's a Clipper now, and the Clippers can certainly use some fans. So...
