I feel Kawhi must have at least sprained or partially tore something in that knee.
Have they even reported if he had a MRI? They haven’t said a thing but I assume he had one, yes??

If this is anything beyond a standard tweak, he'll be out for the rest of the playoffs. Dude has built a track record of sitting until he is 101%. Not a knock on him necessarily, but he doesn't have that "play at all cost" mindset and he never really has.
Clippers are due for an injury to one of their main players. I don't wish injury upon any player, I'm just saying the Clippers (and Suns) have beaten the odds regarding dodging the injury bug that has hit most of the other playoff teams.
Posted 3 days before the Kawhi injury. I hope I didn't jinx him, and the Covid protocol thing for CP3...
I was surprised to see Kawhi missed 20 games this year in a 72 game schedule. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Reports are KL has a knee sprain but they don't say what grade it is.
Quote:
Grade 1 Sprains: The ligament is mildly damaged and slightly stretched but is still able to help keep the knee joint stable.
Grade 2 Sprains: The ligament is stretched to the point where it becomes loose, often referred to as a partial tear.
Grade 3 Sprains: Referred to as a complete tear of the ligament; the ligament has been split into two pieces, and the knee joint is unstable.
Going off of Kawhi's trends, he'll be out the rest of the playoffs.
He is notorious for not playing until he is above full capacity to, regardless of extent. ClutchPoints posted something about it bring an ACL sprain, so if it is that far, yeah, he won't be back these playoffs and risk further injury going into his FA period.

Clippers fear All-NBA star Kawhi Leonard has suffered an ACL injury, sources tell @TheAthletic
@Stadium
. He is out indefinitely.
looks like Klay's injury when i watched the video. hope not
Yeah it didn’t look good when it happened. But then he didn’t go to the locker room so I figured it wasn’t that bad. This sucks. This series was getting so good.

I wonder if this will be an asterisked championship.
LeBron, AD, Jamal Murray, Kawhi, Jaylen Brown, Embiid, Kyrie, Harden, Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Doncic, Chris Paul, and Donte DiVincenzo have all had major injuries. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Kawhi's body is already breaking down and it's only the 2nd round of the playoffs. And this is without back-to-back games. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Glad I don't have to worry about the Clippers actually winning it all anymore. I could go back to my normal everyday life now. Utah in 6. Show no mercy. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024
Sources: Kawhi Leonard has an ACL injury, and informed players last night. He is likely out for the rest of the Jazz series. On Tuesday after Game 4, the team believed the injury wasn't significant. The situation changed entirely within 24 hours.
Injuries suck. Hate the Clippers all you want, but this just diminishes the product and the fans lose. I loved watching Kawhi's heroics against the Sixers a few years ago. Lots of people tune in because of superstars and not teams. The ratings are going to be garbage if stars keep getting hurt (as if they already aren't).
I am grateful the Laker's players got out of this miserable season with no significant injuries. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

If it's a torn ACL the Clippers will likely be a lottery team next year. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

No, because the Lakers cannot possibly win a title, so any asterisk will be dropped. Only used for Laker hating trolls.
Nobody with a straight face can say the product this year is superior to the bubble with injuries and depleted rosters and an absurd regular season. _________________ 17 time World Champions
