We could have had David Griffin but Jeanie happened. Props to the NO think tank, they might be turning the Pelicans into the Saints.

It's not hard when the team lucks out and lands the number 1 pick during a draft with a generational talent like Zion.

Then why is it so hard when a team lucks into the number 2 pick 3 times and has nothing to show for it? Ingram was a solid pick, DLO was pissed away and Lonzo was a mistake. Griffin >>>>>>>>> Magic. Again, thanks Jeanie.

It's not brain surgery or rocket science. Number 1 draft pick in a lottery with a generational talent like Zion >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> number 2 pick for solid players.

I really hope to see Zion in a Lakers jersey some day. This kid is truly something special.

We were a pick away from being able to draft him. Question is would we have traded that pick for AD.

LeBron's goal is to play long enough to team up with his son as well as Zion.

Yes. The thought experiment is if we would have been able to keep Lonzo and BI while trading Zion for AD straight up.

It's insane how NBA defenses can't figure out how to stop a guy without a jumper from getting to the rim like he does. Zion's ability to get low with his size is transformative - he's such an NFL player but in the NBA.

Gotta give props to the Pelicans for keeping him healthy so far. The naysayers thought he was going to get injured with his playstyle and weight, but it hasn't happened so far. Assuming he continues his dominance, Pels will be great in a year or to, and they should be gunning for the playoffs this season if they fix their defense.

Like Luka, he's a generational talent and the Pels are in the playoff hunt thanks to him (and Ingram). Interesting that 2 generational talents have come from recent drafts. It's like winning the lottery.

Those shoulders are ridiculous.

Good for him, I like it.

Some of us felt like the best comparison for Zion is Charles Barkley, and the fact that he's now packing lots of blubber makes that comparison look even better.
