Rome (CNN)A 50-year-old man tried to pass off a silicone arm as his own at a Covid-19 vaccination clinic in northern Italy, in an attempt to get a vaccine certificate without actually getting inoculated.

Got my 3rd Moderna shot yesterday afternoon. I've feel really good so far, but this I can't lift my left arm past 45 degrees due to a bit of pain and stiffness. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I think I musta had mostly asymptomatic Covid because I just recently started noticing the faintest possible note of stale ashtray smell. I already knew it couldn't be actual smoke wafting in because it would be a lot more obvious and even a slight amt sticks to you. I can smell soap on my arm after a shower while I'm also convinced I'm getting someone's smoke coming in. Were it actual smoke, it sticks to yer skin from a room away from the smoker (my dad smoked Marlboro reds for 60 yrs). I google it and cig smoke is a common smell complaint post Covid. At least I hope it's from Rona and nahdda brain toomuh. But, then again, a brain tumor might shed some light on various other issues. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

I thought he was teasing you about excuses for a sports thing -- like golf or hoops -- where you'd need to lift your arm past 45 degrees to swing/shoot. But I could be wrong.

Lol, I even explained it to you in person and you still asking? Check with Linda. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Yeah, I thought you might be referring to your bizarre one man "who's playing Sunday golf?" competition.
What you call "pre-planned excuses" is what us normal, well-adjusted people refer to as actually having a life. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Not sure how y’all are on the west coast, Covid is ripping thru NYC like wild fire since this past weekend, record numbers positives daily (more, like multiples more, than even last year). I’m guessing omicron has taken a foot hold here (almost all positives I’ve seen have been fully vaccinated including some with boosters), good news is that they’re all mild symptoms. If u flying for Xmas break, buy N95, bound to be positives in ur flight whether undiagnosed or simply a holes… domestic flight exempt from same day rapid testing beyond me. Happy holidays

Too many people, vaccinated, unvaccinated, have let their guard down. We're in the middle of a pandemic and it's not being treated as a real threat. That kind of thinking will keep this malady with us for some time to come.
Tough decisions are those that displease many but may be best for the whole. It's, dictatorial and possibly unachievable, but IMO mandatory vaccination is the right path.
I didn't take the flu shot for years because of the unvalidated horror stories I'd been listening to and believing. Having been in that state I have empathy for those who refuse to be vaccinated.
Our freedoms are sometimes to our detriment.
EDIT: It's my understanding verification of vaccination status may be needed to enter many establishments in the future. I downloaded my vaccination records to my Iphone and printed a copy I carry in my wallet. I don't venture into the public much since the pandemic. I did this just in case. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Going to get the booster soon (I'm somewhat around the 6-month mark). Is there any reason for someone who got Pfizer 2X to consider mixing/matching with Moderna?

We model the potential consequences of the Omicron SARS-CoV-2 variant on transmission and health outcomes in England, with scenarios varying the extent of immune escape; the effectiveness, uptake and speed of COVID-19 booster vaccinations; and the reintroduction of control measures. These results suggest that Omicron has the potential to cause substantial surges in cases, hospital admissions and deaths in populations with high levels of immunity, including England. The reintroduction of additional non-pharmaceutical interventions may be required to prevent hospital admissions exceeding the levels seen in England during the previous peak in winter 2020–2021.

Dismissing this variant, or any to follow, is a fools prospect. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I now suspect it might just be an Xmas tree of the apt above me. The pine smell loses something in the translation. It's more acrid. It accounts better for why I only noticed it this month. I was probably trippin all along, Fernando. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
