Pretty remarkable.

The #Dodgers are currently missing Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Corey Seager and Cody Bellinger from the lineup

They blew 4 late leads this week, have the worst record in MLB in extras and have 17 one-run losses

Through all that, they're 2 games back of the best record in baseball.

AND they lead the majors in run differential. Really irritating and a shame with all those 1-run losses and/or in extras.

The Dodgers activated RHP Jimmy Nelson and placed OF Mookie Betts on the 10-day injured list with right hip inflammation.

Because he gives up a lot of runs. Not sure if you evaluate pitchers differently.

Gray's first 8ip = 6 ER
Kershaw's first 9.2ip = 6 ER

Maybe Kershaw stinks as well?

Padres just traded for Pirates 2B Adam Frazier, who is having a great year. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up playing meaningful games.

Hosmer's getting benched? They still owe him 4 yrs and $59M.

Are we cursed? Kelley with the save, but wincing at the end like he tweaked his lower back. Maybe it come on the dribbler to start the inning - he ran after it and rushed to throw and did an odd pirouette to maintain balance.

Shades of Cody coming out of a long slump with a double and a triple just to pull his hamstring, and Mookie aggravating a hip injury after OPSing above 1.200 for a week

Much respect to Kelley for getting the save, even after what looked like an injury. Didn't know he could still get to 100.

Chris Taylor and Will Smith are really stepping it up offensively.

Chris Taylor is worth $20M+ now and we should keep him.

In the last two weeks...

9 runs, 6 hr, 13 rbi, 1 sb, .524 obp
6 runs, 4 hr, 14 rbi, 1 sb, .438 obp (missed 3 games)

First is Juan Soto, who's been on absolute fire, second is Smith

The Sports Report: An update on the Trevor Bauer situation

Quote:
Bauer’s career is in jeopardy, and his stay with the Dodgers could be over, the sexual-assault allegations having turned a pitcher in his prime into a pariah in his own clubhouse, where no teammate has spoken publicly about him or come to his defense. Two people with knowledge of Dodgers clubhouse dynamics, who are unauthorized to speak publicly about the situation, said that a majority of players do not want Bauer back under any circumstances.
