Also, if he would have signed for 4 years, $84 mill, in hindsight, wouldn't have been the most horrible deal. Look at what some players are making these days... $20 mill a year for a starter or legit 6th man is a bargain.

Hmmm. If he signed, do we still do the Russell trade?
I can't think about that too much. |

We have made some risky signings over the years. Signing Dennis for 1 year $2.6 million, is not one of those deals. He has about as much baggage as a socialite on a around the world cruise, but I'll take him.
I'm a sucker for a guard who can shoot the basketball, because as Lakers, we have had so few good shooting guards. DS turned down that $21 million we offered him, and it went really bad. But you know all things considered, he didn't get as whiny as some NBA players have been, when they feel disrespected.
He went to go play for the Celtics, which is pretty much the equivalent (from my perspective) of going from a church prayer meeting to Hell, But he didn't have a lot of options, AND the Celtics didn't win a chip, so I'll say he secretly tried to sabotage the Smeltics.
Westbrook has been trash, horrible trade. Dunn was injured all last season. If we somehow can get better shooting from our guards - which has pretty much looked like Jr. Higher chucking the basketball at lunch time, then I'll take it as a win.
This year looks to be toast from the get-go anyway. Probably letting most of the players go next year, hoping Kyrie will sign here for $30 million, another risky move.
If we do any better than 45 wins, I'll take that as a major accomplishment. And a funny looking German coming here for basically nothing, I'll take it. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

It feels like Schroder has returned "home" like a prodigal son. A son who left in foolish pride, and returned home humbled by the real world.
Well, at least the NBA real world of millions...lol |

Well there wasn't a contract because his people walked away because they wanted to wait until the off-season to negotiate. Whatever Dennis go ahead and play whatever semantics you need to feel better as long as you play well while you're here. |

Quote: | Lakers’ Dennis Schroder has suffered a finger injury and his status is up in the air ahead of regular season next week, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Schroder will not play in tonight’s game vs. Kings and is undergoing testing on severity and return timetable. |

Sheesh. Troy Brown and Dennis now. Thankfully Lonnie’s injury wasn’t bad. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The injury bug has reared its ugly head early. Started with AD, Troy Brown now Dennis. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Davis hasn't been hurt. He's fine. He sat a game for back stiffness but it sounded like he just needed a pre season "rest" day. He hasn't been injured though. |

Dennis was pretty rough in his debut, with the glut of guards we should be fine if say he has to miss a few weeks. |

To Dennis's defense, he really hadn't had any preseason time with the team. He was stuck in Germany on a visa issue. Finally got it cleared, showed up at practice and then played only 9 minutes. Also, it sounds like he also injured his finger during that 9 mins.
So, if you watched him play over the summer, he was great. |

OK.
AD is a question for me. He's played 75 games twice in his career the rest of the years were in the 60's and 50's. Most he's played for the Lakers was 62 games. AD career stats
He's an elite basketball player when he's healthy. I hope he can stay relatively healthy this season. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
