Still think it’s funny he left his hometown of Milwaukee to play for the Lakers. Maybe he wasn’t given much of a choice.

I have yet to see him make a 3 pointer

Hoping he comes around soon.

He seems to be just taking what is there. Not getting a whole lot done but I haven't minded what we've gotten from him so far. His impact days are behind him though.

His value should show once the team gels, the rotations and lineups stabilize. That is when an experienced vet like him provides the nuanced play (especially on defense), as opposed to the "energy/talent" play. At least that's the hope, we will just have to wait and see.

Wes had a decent second half in the blowout of the TWolves tonight. In general, he shows a lot of effort as well as some solid defense.

I'm not as discouraged having him on the team as some are since he is slightly less effective so far than the inconsistent Danny Green he replaced at 1/5th of the price tag. I expect Wes to improve as his comfort level improves. Besides, THT will happily eat up Wes' minutes if things get rough for the veteran.

This is my school of thought. He’s not a guy who should be starting, but he’s certainly a guy that can act as a real solid man defender and outside shooter in limited minutes, or more if he’s having a good game. Seems to finish well around the basket, too

He’s basically a cheaper DG

Third game with the Lakers. He's a seasoned vet and I expect him to get better. Plus with the pandemic every veteran/"body" counts in case of player quarantine.

Still think it's a GREAT signing.

Also I think when comparing him to Danny Green you HAVE to factor in how Danny Green got the most ideal minutes for any role player on the team by being able to play in lineups that typically had both Lebron and AD in it. Wes on the other hand has been in much less optimum lineups for his similar skillset.

He will comes through when it matters. He has to take a back seat for now but his experience will be favorable comes playoff time.

The lineup decisions took into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of the two shooting guards, IMHO.

DG is a poor playmaker, so he needed to be on the floor with two stars so that he'd be in position offensively to feast on their leftovers when the ball rotated to him beyond the arc. His solid team defense made his shortcomings on offense easier to bear.

Wes on the other hand is a bit smaller than DG, so he is unlikely to be quite as effective defensively against bigger opponents (though he is sturdy and smart enough to hold his ground while being pesky).

On offense however, he has the ability to create his own shot somewhat (much better than DG), and can definitely find an open team mate if a pass needs to he made. That allows him to be effective with the second unit by just going with the flow.

Was huge, carried our bench, tonight. Really nice to see him hit those outside shots, because we need a reliable player like that in the playoffs. Think he and Kieff will be major weapons in the playoffs.

Really trust a closing up lineup of AD/Kieff/Matthews/KCP/Bron. Balance on both ends. Physical. Experienced and good decision making. Hope by playoffs, we trust this lineup alot, and it will be require Kieff and Wes to shoot the 3 well like they are capable of.

Nice to see Wes finally find his stroke.

Morey would probably love to get his hands on a shooter like Wes to put around Embiid and Simmons.

Especially with Danny Green playing like trash.

If im Rob, im on the phone as soon as Wes is eligible to trade and offering him for Dwight straight up.
