Yeah, I read it. Such a terrible mock, but I'd take it.

I'd only argue Sengun, Prkacin, Vrenz, but if the board turned out like that, I'd just trade down tbh.

Still think he's a hell of a wing in a 2/1 body and a hell of a pick though.

I see the disconnect - I see him as a secondary option in the mold of Jrue Holiday.

It's been so long since I've seen Jrue Holiday that I don't know where his handle was out of UCLA. I'd love Jaden as a pick. He's arguable BPA. Personally just kind of hoping for more size out of preference, that's all.

Mike, give us some Prkacin goods. I'm happy to pay the man, just don't have time for the streams.

I just watched a PD Web stream yesterday on twitch, it was great.

He's Slava all over again, slightly higher IQ, finger tip release on his outer three fingers like Peja, but projects to be an average perimeter shooter because of the inconsistency with footwork. Triple threat player, opts for the first open look, great at grab and go, average passing ability in terms of recognition and delivery. He's a stretch four and a great run-to-jump athlete. Peculiar bad finisher outside of dunks because he has soft hands, but I think it's due to shot selection.

Has the physical tools to be a solid defender, but has to nail the decision-making aspect and can be a bit delayed. But you know, he's 19, needs some work, yada yada.

He's really what we wished Slava was, just tons more aggressive and a more physical player.

Joel Ayayi, the archetype of what I wish Derek Fisher was as a player.

I see James Bouknight is falling in mocks. Anyone know why?

Filip Petrusev, I can't think of a better available center to play next to AD.

My bet is Bouknight goes top 10 after athletic testing.

Definitely.

I have him in the 20s with a bunch of other 6'4-6'5 SGs who could go either way, but NBA front offices will talk themselves into Bouknight being "safer" than, say, Josh Christopher.

Yep, he's a late teens to 20s pick for me. But, not the kind of guy I see as a Laker?

Josh Christopher still gives me all of the Nick Young vibes, right down to the athletic ability being really upper tier, and yet not converting it into FTr and leading to difficult shot making.

Yep, I have him late lottery in my mind to mid teens. I don't really like the idea of a mock draft or a big board as much, rather "who would I pick vs who do I think it's the BPA/most talented player remaining?" It makes the thought processes clearer for me.

Decent Stepien article on Springer (and Mann) and their functional athleticism.

LINK

Big combo guard who can defend multiple positions, attack off the bounce, and shoot a decent clip (albeit on low volume)? I’d take that in a heartbeat.

But given his age, I don’t think he’ll last until pick 20-21.

^Yeah, Jake is a good guy and a good evaluator.

"General" NBA draft people don't know where to rank him because they just see a combo guard, and those types fall to the mid to late 1st.

NBA draft twitter, tends to recognize Springer's indicators and put him lottery or even Top 5.

Don't know this dude, but ever since DX went corporate and other draft websites just aren't as great (except the Stepien, just nowhere near the indepth coverage though), so I'll keep positing these.

Another Matt Thomas with no position?

I felt more comfortable with Matt Thomas's shot form, but I wish.

Not as fluid, very rigid upper body leading up to the set point and the rest of it is easy, but it's rare to find elite shooters that are lefty.

Sam Hauser is my guy in this similar mold.

^Yeah shooters are just easier to find. It's harder to find the ones that shoot well, but able to extend defensively and keep on the floor.

Is that the case? Or is there going to be an additional tiebreaker between the Lakers, Mavs, and Blazers?

Coin toss I think.

Jonathan Givony tweeted:

Quote:
Source: coinflips to determine the following tiebreakers for the 2021 NBA draft order will be conducted on Tuesday, May 25 in the early afternoon (ET).

Also in the unlikely event the Lakers lose both play-in games and miss the playoffs, they would get into a lottery.

I'm guessing no one here is bought into BJ Boston as a prospect.
