ICYMI - AD SAYS HES A-OK

Per McTen

Anthony Davis says he will make his return tomorrow in Dallas, so long as he continues to feel well.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1384942554530074626?s=21

Anthony Davis said he felt a “ripping” sensation when he planted his foot wrong in Denver in February. He said he’s never experienced pain like that and was initially worried he tore his Achilles.

https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1384944353811091459?s=21

Per Goon

Frank Vogel said it usually takes “a couple weeks” to get back into shape when you’ve missed two months like Anthony Davis has, but the minutes restriction probably will only last a few games. Davis will start even with the minutes restriction.

WELCOME BACK AD

Per Trudell

For the first time since February 14, Anthony Davis will start for the Lakers, at Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on @SpectrumSN.

Frank Vogel said to expect him to be limited to 15 minutes.

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1385383612095164418?s=21

Davis will play in the first half only tonight (15 minutes, max).

https://twitter.com/lakersreporter/status/1385383884607475713?s=21

Markieff Morris, who’s played well in Davis’ absence, will start the 2nd half for the Lakers.

IFTOS - Porzingis (We Play Dallas Again on Saturday)

Per MacMahon

Rick Carlisle says Kristaps Porzingis is “uncertain” for Saturday’s game. “He is walking. He’s not in a boot or anything.”

https://twitter.com/espn_macmahon/status/1385452528641273856?s=21

Per Nichols

Carlisle says he’s unsure if Porzingis will need an MRI, but that “seeing him after the game, he didn’t seem that bad.” Adds that his hope is that this turns out to be minor.

AD POST GAME

Per Trudell

How many minutes AD plays on Saturday is to be determined, as LAL want to first see how he responds physically to game action. Frank Vogel did say he looked good physically, and Davis himself mentioned he didn’t even think about the injury.

HE SAID HE SAID - LE BRON

On SpectrumSportsnet

Mike Bresnahan just said on the spectrum sports post game that Woj apparently made a report that LeBron could be back as soon as next week. Needless to say I am tracking that report down.

EDIT - FOUND IT

And I am sad to say this is hardly a declarative statement LOL You can watch for yourself here;

AD IS FINE

Per Trudell

AD clarified that he got kicked on the opposite calf from his previous injury, and he’s fine. Obviously, he stayed in the game in the 3rd Q, then returned in the 4th.

He said he felt really good physically, but his shot was just short, which speaks to his legs/conditioning.
