LBJ needs to tell his buddy CP3 to turn down his option and come play with him for a year or 2 before he retires.

Yep, that would be great, all the talk of missing Rondo because he was a leader, just imagine if we have a great floor general in CP3, that would lengthen our title window by a couple of notches.

If Phoenix gets upset early, we should throw all effort into signing Chris instead of Dennis. I'd have something other than our draft pick to watch next season.

It doesn’t work like that, Phx would have to agree on a sign and trade. CP3 is not turning down 37-38 mil for MLE

I realize the odds are almost zero... but if Phoenix has a disappointing exit, who knows? LBJ would need to be healthy though... if he's on his way down there would be no point for him to lose all that money.

We should have traded Green + Kuzma + KCP + pick for CP3 this past offseason.

Salaries don’t match we would have had to include AD or LeBron.

In retrospect it probably would have been worth it. KCP and Kuz are so streaky and CP3 is what AD needs to thrive.

If OKC agreed to that, rob would’ve done it in a heartbeat. Salaries doesn’t match

You do realize it is not so far off to suggest that if the Lakers have a disappointing exit Paul starts working James to join him in Phoenix.

Hard to imagine but the Lakers have a brutal schedule and are only have 4 games on the Warriors at # 9. They keep losing like this they may be on the wrong side of the play-in and have to win not one but two rds. With no rest before the playoffs series with Suns/ Jazz starts.

It's harder to imagine Bron trying to rebuild Hollywood in Scottsdale.

It wouldn't be the worst thing if he left. We got our championship and we can start working on new partners for AD with some cap space and less pressure on AD while he gets healthy.

Lebron is not leaving LA, his career is set on LA and is doing very well with the move.

I wanted us to kick the tires around trading for CP3.

But just remember the last time we made a trade for a great HOF PG who was on Phoenix.

Funny how easy it is to change your mind a year later when now his team is one of those teams “battling for a playoff spot”.

The man is obviously frustrated with how this season has played out. He is feeling those Championship aspirations slipping away. Maybe even feeling his own bball mortality as an aging player. And it hurts!

Good thing they started 24-7 or they wouldn’t even be in any of the 10 spots.

The supporting cast failed in winning enough and AD has made the team worse than when he was sitting out...something like a -26 rating.

I think it's the other way around.

The supporting cast surprisingly outperformed expectations when AD/LBJ were out.

We have lost 5 out of the last 6 with AD back (and now 2 with LBJ back). That is more surprising and disappointing to me. I think we are something like 0-5 now with Dennis out too.

This is one of the rare times I disagree with you

I just look around the league at rosters and feel like the Lakers supporting cast underperformed. They didn’t do as well as they should have imo. Now the reasons can vary from over dependence on Lebron, relaxed atmosphere thinking they are better than what they are, etc.

Have to disagree. Which teams lost ALL of their stars at once? Not talking about losing 1 but all? Our team until AD returned was hovering close to .500 ball, which is great when you're losing AD/LBJ.

Once AD returned, we've gone 1-5. We should expect more from him.

The Clippers have won games without Kawhi and PG.
The Mavs have won without Luka and Porzingis
There are more examples too, but I would have to go back and look.

The only time the Lakers deep roster (comparable to the Clippers and Bucks) won a game was against a lottery team or against a team missing a ton of players. They also lost games they shouldn’t have to lottery teams.

Games sure. But not 20+ consecutive games without all their all-stars.

I don't think people understand how AD/LBJ centric this team is.

If Clips lost Kawhi/PG13 for 25 consecutive games, they'd be out of the playoffs.

It wasn’t .500 though. They were 7-12 or whatever it was.

That’s just not good enough and it could have been worse if other teams didn’t have is ton of injuries themselves.

Over the past 2 seasons, the Clippers have done pretty well when missing Kawhi and PG.

You are right that it is LBJ/AD centric team, but that doesn’t change the fact that this particular supporting cast has underperformed and demonstrated over dependence on particularly Lebron.

I could imagine LBJ leaving LA. But I think it would be to team up with Klay and Curry as opposed to going anywhere else.

No, your examples are flawed. There was NO stretch that Kawhi/PG were out 20+ games consecutively. Not even close. If that happened to the Clips this year they would be giving up a top 10 pick to OKC.

Agree to disagree. When I watch some of these games, the Clippers still look like a professional team.

The Lakers struggle mightily and win some games against really bad teams or teams with G League rosters due to injury. There have been some bad losses. If it was last year’s limited roster, I understand. However, this roster has not performed to capabilities.

They said so themselves that it’s a deep team.

The Clippers and Bucks had a huge advantage 3-10 on the Lakers last season. Not the case this season.

Rather we play in the play in or not it’s come to a point were it won’t matter and it will be up to the FO to make changes this summer.

Lebron is not leaving LA, his career is set on LA and is doing very well with the move.

I'm pretty sure Miami and Cleveland felt the same way. Anyway, he's not going anywhere. It would be the 4th time he left a team and he's hyper-sensitive about his "legacy"
