I dont care even if the Lakers will face the flippers in the first round. Lakers will whoop them. I dont know why most guys here are too afraid of them. lmfao

Don’t care if we do face the Clippers. Ideally I would like more time for LBJ and Schroder but no one should honestly scare the defending champs.

Phoenix tanking has nothing to do with the Lakers/Clippers. It’s a we don’t want to face Lakers type thing.

Good. We don’t want the 6th seed anymore. We want to play against this fraud-tastic Suns team instead.

So if the clippers loses somehow(very likely), Denver will get the third seed with win against POR which also setup a first round matchup with us, so I highly doubt they want that.

How is it likely? Clippers have two bum ass teams in their last two games. They are much more likely to win them both.

Well the Suns have some balls after all. I guess for them they are only a game out of 1st so they might as well go for it.

San Antonio is absolute dog meat. They are also locked into ten spot and have nothing to play for. Suns will whoop them Saturday and likely rest all the starters in the finale. This suns win basically locks up seeds 1-4 now as clippers aren’t losing to F league squads and Denver is not winning in Portland with nothing to play for.

The NBA is smart.....they put all of the games , in the west, that mean something, all starting at 9 on Sunday. That way, everybody will give maximum effort, because they won’t know the outcome of the other games.

Clippers Denver, Lakers, and Blazers will all be battling, with something to play for.

I love it!!!

My dream scenario is for Dallas and Portland drop all their games and we jump up to 5th seed to face the Nuggets.

Lakers should sit everyone vs Indy and lock in the 7 seed.

Why would they not rest Jokic and most of the starters in a no bearing game and risk a freak injury? Or why would they want to help the Lakers to avoid the play-in? Not unless they want to face the Lakers in the first round

They will probably rest their starters in both games or at least the last games.

On the other hand. Maybe we should molly wop the Clips in the 1st round and get our homework done early. Won't even have to travel for the playoff series.

This. Don't duck anyone. When we knock the Clippers out in the 1st round, it will be that much sweeter.

It will be a lot easier to knock them out after a warm up series against PHX to help Lebron, AD etc get fully back up to speed and get some chemistry going again with the rest of the team.

The next game for both Memphis and Warrios is literally irrelevant. I hope that Memphis wins next Sunday.

If our big guns didn't go down to injury, I would say bring on the Clippers first round. But this has been a weird season, and LBJ's injury does seem more serious than most would like it to be.

Lakers need to be prepared for a game with GS.

All this speculation and handwringing about “which matchups are best” are pointless if they lose to GS. Then be faced with elimination or the 8th spot. Not a pleasant thought!

Doesn’t matter if they rest them all or play them the final two games. They buried themselves and now are faced with digging themselves out. We have passed the point of balancing rest vs efficiency and chemistry. Two games and 4 days is not going to significantly change either.

Lakers are either ready for a competitive run or they are not. Get past GS first. Get into the playoffs first. Then we can talk.

The Lakers are already prepared for a match up with the Warriors:

- Be healthy
- Play big
- ???
- Profit

If the Lakers are in the play in game, I might prefer they end up with the 8th seed. Might give Lebron an additional carrot to chase history and win the Finals as an 8th seed.
