Lakers are really missing the playmaking that a true PG like Rondo gave us last season, someone who is a floor general and can run the offense naturally.
Outside of LeBron, there’s no real floor general, no natural playmaker on this team.
- Schröder has been doing a nice job in his absence, but he’s naturally a scoring guard, not a facilitator.
- THT is too raw and not very dependable yet with a horrible assist to turnover ratio.
- Gasol is the only other player who can play make but he’s fell out of the coach’s favor.
Probably the big reason Lakers are currently ranked 1st in turnovers this season as well. _________________ Tacos

Agreed. Mistake to use the MLE on Harrell rather than getting a playmaker or an athletic 3 and D wing. AD/Drummond/Morris/Gasol would have been enough bigs. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
It should have been our priority this past offseason for sure. It wouldn’t have hard capped us either if we chose to bypass the BAE and had gone with the ntpMLE instead.
Think about what OKC took back for Cp3 vs Schro. Also think about what we were willing to give up for a potential rental in Lowry at the deadline. Nearly every piece that came back in the Cp3 deal was pawned away for future draft compensation by Okc.
Green/S&tKcp/McGee/Cook/#28/2027 1st/future 2nd rounders could have gotten it done. If they wanted Kuz, then take out Cook’s salary along with our future 2027 1st & future 2nds.
If Cp3 could have been had, it should have been done. #ShouldaWouldaCoulda. The onus of the entire offense wouldn’t have to entirely fall on Bron then. Think of the legs that move would have provided Bron for the playoffs. For that matter, think of how a 3 star format saves each of their legs throughout the season and most importantly, into the postseason.
Instead of Schro, we needed to aim in bringing in a 3rd star. I mean if that was our play in 2019 free agency with Kawhi, why wasn’t it in 2020? If Cp3 didn’t end up working out, that type of salary/contract has shown to be that it could be flipped.
It’s a mistake not to invest in prolonging Bron’s career as well as keep AD healthy at the 4 during the regular season. I know Bron is capable of playing full-time point gawd & AD is capable of playing a full-time 2way stretch 5..but that doesn’t make it a good (bleep) idea.
