I'm remembering how Kawhi thought his injury in SA was misdiagnosed and mishandled. Either he or the Clippers are erring on the side of caution.
Leonard is a FA. I think he'll stay with the Clippers. I believe LA is where he wants to be.
I don't think he'll play tomorrow. If they win his return is up in the air.

If Kawhi had an ACL tear, I would assume that he wouldn't be backstage standing and applauding when they won their series.
If you watch backstage when they are celebrating, Kawhi is sitting on his phone like he's been rehabbing backstage, and then stands up and claps with the rest of the team.

Kawhi it's likely out for the rest of the series and probably out the rest of the playoffs if they make it to the finals.

You can stand or even (briefly) play on an ACL tear.
They are either trying to psyche out the opponent or it’s legit a knee sprain. |

we dont know if hes working hard to come back. he planned on being free this summer. does he jeopardize that for a ring run? we dont know. Its a scary injury. If he tweaks it his hand is forced. he took a year off and quit on a team to rehab.
he should be on the court now if he can walk. Embiid was, harden. Even AD tried. |
Is it a sprain? Or is it a tear?
Lets assume it's a sprain, well it happened a week ago Monday. He's out at the very minimum another week. Then he's back from a sprain in 2 weeks? He would be lucky to play at 60-70%.
Plus that ACL won't be stable, go ask KD about pushing an injury. Remember his calf injury he came back too soon and ended up rupturing his achilles. |

Kawhi is not the type of guy to play hurt. Remember the Spurs medical staff cleared him but he didn't want to play still. If he's hurt, he's not playing.
