We went through a 1/2 decade of Jimmy Buss and Mitch blowing more free agency meetings with players than I can count.

Magic brings us LBJ. And people are complaining about him?

Grabbing LBJ when our franchise was a laughingstock for 1/2 a decade is arguably the biggest accomplishment anyone in the Lakers franchise has done since the Kobe/Pau 2 peat.

But of course Magic wasn't perfecrt.

Magic is a bottom 3 PBO/GM in the history of sports.

The legend of a player is THAT bad at personnel decisions.

But yes he should get credit for landing Lebron. That’s totally true...it’s what he did before and after...

^ I'll just say this. Had he left much less...noisily, I'd likely have a better view of his tenure. Was not happy with the loud exit, the interviews, etc. All during a very tenuous time for the team.

With that said, there's a mixed bag there, but Maginka did have a clear, concise plan, and it was met - the "get two big talents here." So, there's that.

And to quote the wise Forrest Gump, "that's all I have to say about that."
