No other cities have two NBA teams. Once they moved into their new dumpster, they should also rename to the Inglewood Shytters.
New York does. Manhattan and Brooklyn, which is a borough of Manhattan, are only 5 miles apart.
Then the Clippers should change to Inglewood Clippers, just like New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Not New York Nets. _________________ Playoffs is good enough. - Jeanie Buss 2024
After we got knocked out by the Suns in 2006, someone started a bandwagon thread for the Clippers in this forum. But over the past 15 years, the level of hostility toward the Clippers has skyrocketed. I don’t live in Southern California, so it doesn’t mean much to me. The only reason I care at all is that I don’t want to see clickbait stuff about how the Clippers are catching up with the Lakers. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved

That really doesn't make any sense.
The Clippers play in Los Angeles, not Inglewood.
Besides, it wasn't like we were the Inglewood Lakers when he played in the Forum.
Funny thing is they've been the Los Angeles Clippers for longer than most people on this board have been alive; can't understand why people have trouble accepting that they are a Los Angeles team.
Hell the freaking no. The Clippers franchise and lakers aren’t like knicks nets, Dodgers angels or any other in town rivalries. Clippers under Ballmer’s ownership has gone out is third way to start a war against the lakers.
Going after every free agents Lakers are rumored with
Covering up Lakers title banner
Paying off local media to bad mouthing the laker ownership
Jerry west
Kawhi Leonard signing using lakers as a decoy
Self claiming themselves as the team of LA
Worst of all, I’m truly believe most of the clipper fans are those people who just want to be different, want to be seen as different.

I live all the way across the country and I find this Clippers team to be one of the most unlikable teams in the league. I’m gonna pass on the Clippers support.
There is no such thing as a Clippers fan. Just Laker haters who live in LA. That's why their entire marketing approach is about thumbing their noses at the Lakers. It's their core brand.
Ballmer figured he could just throw money at everything and re-write the City's basketball heritage. Streetlights over Spotlight my a**. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

The clips would be so beloved by Seattle. Don’t have to constantly fight for La fans. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
N.O. kawai and uncle Dennis are snakes. PG was butt hurt we didn't trade the farm for him instead of AD. Lue, fine, he's a Laker at heart, but... not enough to move the needle.

I'd root for the Utah Jazz or the Boston Celtics before I rooted for the Clippers.
F them in all seven f-holes in all the rooms of their mothers house. _________________ "It’s like going to the Getty and standing in front of Van Gogh’s Irises while some schmuck next to you critiques individual brush strokes. You know folks can do whatever they want and some fans will support the clippers and some won’t. But this tired narrative that we should support the clippers because they’re the other LA team is just tired. It seems like they came up with that junk when Chris Paul trade thing happened and it’s…. No
Just No.
I used to not hate them actually as much as I do now but now I resent every aspect of their existence so no I will not be supporting them.

That's a silly question. Of course not.
I never cared for the clippers, but ever since cp3 got there (which was bs on its own), they downright became hateable. They played dirty and had 2 of the best floppers in the game (cp3/blake) during the lob city era. Now, they hae Kawhi and PG who went out of their way to hurt the Lakers.
It's acceptable to not care about them, but to root for them (especially this team) ...no.
You pick one team, and you stick with them. You do not hop from team to team as each gets eliminated. Would be better to stop watching basketball entirely than to start rooting for the Clippers.
My friend recently moved from LA to NYC, goes to game 7, and proclaims that he might become a Nets fan (after Durant hit the shot to go to OT). My response (before OT started), "that's cool as long as you don't try to come back to the Lakers later!" After the Nets lost, he took some personal responsibility and proceeded to get lit
