rolling down the California incline at 2pm and then watching the sun set before you reach ventura
Billy Idol - Eyes without a Face
You just watched Kobe score 81 so you didn't leave your seat all game and now you're hungry and dehydrated. "This LA live thing they're building looks like it's going to be really tacky," you say to yourself on the walk back to your car. Before you head home, you want tacos from the best roach coach in the county, which is in the Ross parking lot at Vernon & Fig at this time of night, as it always has been, and ever shall be, world without end. As you sit at the red light at the end of the Vernon offramp, you notice that there is a tarp joining two overturned shopping carts. "Huh. Wonder what's going on there? Looks like bad news." The light turns green, and less than 5 minutes later, you're chin-deep in adobada. The crowd eating with you doesn't know the show they just missed,; nor do they care. You have never noticed a tomatillo in the produce section, yet you lift a metal scoop out of a deep plastic bucket and spill it onto your paper plate, nonetheless. Heaven.
Dr. Dre feat Nate Dogg - Xxplosive
You have business on Hill street: a rolling stop that matured into a failure to appear. Few things look worse than downtown LA when the sun is shining.
Beach Boys - Don't Worry Baby
Some combination of fate, genetics, and your own irresponsibility made it necessary that you drop someone off in Canoga Park today. "This is the valley? Why did we ever glorify this place?"
The Doors - Break On Through
Picking up someone you really miss and love but they chose to fly into LAX

I go there after the game when I go to Staples. You have to overlook the surroundings. It's right next to tent city. Once you've eaten the food it'll be on your to do list after a Lakers game.

I'd advise against playing some of these songs at high volume, with windows down, thru certain neighborhoods. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same."

Every time I hear White Wedding or Rebel Yell, I get something of an 80s feeling. Hard to describe. Not so much sentimental, but more that they bring me back. Tho I like Eyes Sans Face and Dancin With Myself, those two are a lot more evocative to me. His stuff is somewhat dated, yet not somewhat dated. His songs could pass today, imo. An idol is an idol regardless of the decade. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
Corey Hart conjures LA feelins, but that song by Frey reminds me of Chicago. Sounds to me like a black and white private eye (noir) movie. Smuggler's Blues reminds me of LA (tho more of Miami, but LA too). _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

Just play some Nipsy Hussle. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
Or some Nipsey Russell. Play some audio files of his Hollywood Squares performances featuring Paul Lynde. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
If I got a show in Hollywood on Sunset you know I'm busting out the hair metal classics to get in the vibe.
Krokus-Screaming in the Night
David Lee Roth-Yankee Rose/Just Like Paradise
Motley Crue-Take Me to the Top
Quiet Riot- Bang your Head
Haha, o noes. If yer goin w/ DLR, make sure it's =VH= stuff and not post 1985 Dave. The video to Yankee Rose is an eyesore on the level of enucleation. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!

Your screen name and yet no GNR? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
I did go through the GnR rabbit hole after reading Slash's book. Sweet Jesus was that a read
Great read, but definitely had some holes. For example when he recollected the St. Louis riot. He said he kept playing the riff to 'Rocket Queen' while he went to the side of the stage to demand that Axl come back out (after he was pulled from out the crowd). I mean, there's video of it all over youtube and the whole band stops playing and you can hear Slash go up to the mic and say, 'he just threw the mic down, we're outta here'.
But that's just being nit-picky. Can't expect him to remember everything especially given the state he was in most of time.
Have you read Duff's 'It's so Easy and Other Lies' book? Loved it and have read it many times.

lol GNR is cool but not really something I'm searching on Spotify. There are days when I'm jamming My Michelle or Civil War nonstop though.
I'm currently on a 'Locomotive' binge. Man what a tune!
And I only just learned that's a clever title for 'Crazy Motive' (Loco = Crazy). Always thought they were referring to an actual train considering Slash's riff sounds like a freakin' train!
