If we trade Hield for Kuzma straight up that's solid.

My prediction is the Kings will ask for too much trying hard to fleece us and no deal gets made.

If Trez doesn't mind going to SAC, and SAC likes him.. Kuz+Trez for Hield is a fair deal

Anthony Davis would be waiting.

Good for them, they can continue sucking.

Apparently these teams never learn that putting emotion into it just to spite the Lakers doesn’t work…still got the 2020 chip.

They should learn from the Pacers and Spurs, but they won’t and will continue to fail.

Trez is a luxury to be able to throw into any trade. And he wouldn't re-sign if we weren't going to trade him where he wants to go

If Trez signed off on a deal to Sacramento a Kuz/Trez for Hield deal would be good value for both sides. Walton gets a favorite in Kuz and Trez saves them from spending a mint on Holmes while giving Bagley time to grow into a starter. The Lakers get space for their stars and Hield brings more playmaking than Pope.

Nope. If we're packaging a 6th man of the year talent with Kuzma then the Kings need to give us more than just Hield.

They'd have to throw in Bagley to make that a fair trade.

They'd have to throw in Marvin Bagley III or Delon Wright. Or heck give us both.

Lakers
Buddy Hield
Marvin Bagley III
Delon Wright

Kings
Kyle Kuzma
Montrezl Harrell
Alex Caruso

I would think the Kings would take Trez over what it might cost to get Holmes.
If Trez did a 3 year sign and trade at $11M maybe the Kings throw in a pick.
But I'm not sure they do for a year of Trez. (Of course all contingent on Trez opting in and/or agreeing to a sign and trade.

Somehow I doubt there will be any middle ground. The entire league knows the Lakers are desperate to add to the team before James declines and the seasons become glorified retirement tours.

Expect a lopsided trade with any team. Likely losing #22 or THT in the process.

entire league also knows that Kings are desperate
to get into playoffs,
to pay Richaun Holmens and
need mins for T Haliburton.

Vivek has mandate for the kings to make playoffs

there are so many desperate teams nowadays.

All of the cusp teams need to add that "needed piece". Championship caliber teams nee to rearrange deck chairs.

I don’t think fans understand the lack of defense that Hield has. Good scorer but will that fly for Vogel?

When you have a shooter of his caliber you make accomodations, plus players will look TOTALLY different on defense when playing with a different team.

Kings might like Kuzma’s versatility on defense, he can also give them nice offense on a team that is rebuilding.. we are potentially doing this trade because we were stinking it up from the 3pt line this year and even when we won the title we were still horrid from the 3pt line, It’s a beneficial trade for both teams.

My sense is the Lakers want Hield more than the Kings want Kuzma.

What else we'd have to throw into the deal to make the Kings go for it is anyone's guess.

It's also anyone's question if there is actually anything of substance to this rumor.

He likely doesn’t have the choice if it is what Lebron wants. Trading Kuzma for Hield wouldn’t suck, bringing in Hield and Westbrook would.

Been saying Hield is the most realistic splashy trade that we could pull off this off season. Hield is a legit top-tier 3pt shot maker who can generate a lot of gravity, and he's not a stationary shooter like DG or KCP.

If Trez opts in, I'd expand that trade to include Delon Wright.

Kuz+KCP+Trez+pick(if necessary) for Hield and Delon Wright.

I've wanted Delon since last season's trade deadline. He's a tall combo guard who can defend as good if not better than KCP but he can handle the ball and playmake unlike KCP. Plus he's on a cheap contract, only 8.5M. He doesn't penetrate as often as a Westbrook or Dennis but he does it well enough. He shot 37% from 3 last season which is pretty decent. A career 35% shooter, same as KCP.

Delon Wright:

DBPM: +1.3
BPM: +2.0
Deflections: 3.0 (AD 2.5, Russ 2.6)
Drives - 11.3 (Russ 17.8, Dennis 13.3, Lebron 9.5)

KCP:

DBPM: +0.6
BPM: -0.9
Deflections: 1.2
Drives - 2.3

Delon would be a nice insurance in case Dennis walks for nothing.
