now that's the spirit. this is like the debate of drafting for needs or talent. i'd always draft for talent. Lakers can sign one dimensional 3 point shooters on the cheap now we have the big 3 in place. |

For the record, this is a TERRIBLE trade. Quote this post on 7/29/2022 when we failed to acquire #18 because of this signing.

We now need depth. I think I seen rumors that we are linked to Rudy Gay and Carmelo. I wouldn't really like the fact that we are getting older, but it is what it is. We need to fill in all the holes on our team and we have a lot now.

It’s funny. People whine about needing to take advantage of brons 2 year window while preserving him.
This does that.
Now people whine about it. Russ is elite and an animal. Plus everyone other than mr. sensitive has loved him as a teammate.

Trading away Harrell and Kuzma is addition by subtraction. So really we’re just trading away KCP and a first rounder.

Wizards gave up Wall who hadn't played in years and a protected 1st rounder that may never convey for Westbrook.
A year older Westbrook gets the #22 pick in a good draft and Kuz/KCP/Trez?

What the Suns series taught us is that health is #1. We were up 2-1 and leading game #4 when AD went down, so personnel decisions being based on what happened there makes no sense.
On the other hand, the Bucks beat that Suns team in the Finals despite shooting 32% from three the entire playoffs. As long as we stay healthy, play great D, and make efficient shots from anywhere on the court (FTs as well), we'll be fine next season.

have yall actually seen Westbrook play the last few years??? Westbrook fills up a stat sheet but he does not help a good team become a contender.... this will be a disaster! Not only does this cement our window shut, our team can implode where Lebron AND AD jump ship. And then Westbrook has the worst contract in the NBA so we cant just move off him.
