Glad he hit his 3s.
Was so frustrated with his defense.
Not sure if it's cuz he sucks on that side in general or because he's guarding above his position.

He has the C&S we need but the rust and lack of familiarity came into play. He will be a pivotal role player for us this year.

You get the best out of individuals defensively when you have multiple players on the floor working together. It's very difficult to do it, especially on the perimeter, if the 5 on the floor are not on the same page.

I expect us to be a bad defensive team for this reason.

The rotations were horrible. He got caught up many times playing SF and even a PF on a couple of occasions. We were lucky the Dubs were throwing the ball around and getting TO's like Brick or we would have been blown out earlier.

Nunn, you're so fortunate that Russ shot worse than you haha.
I knew you were going to be inconsistent geez.
We could have used one of those 3s. Momentum killers.

K-Nunn has to be more consistent in order to contribute to the team's success.
We needed his scoring last night but Nunn was ice cold and his defense was suspect at best. He has to play better.

Obviously Nunn did not get in the flow (happens to everyone). I did not like Ham's minute distribution and the seniors will not last.

I was hoping Nunn would achieve one of the following this year?

6th man of year or comeback player of year. Thought after two nice scoring preseason games he too has now joined the once you become a Laker & the purple & gold you catch the 3pt deceased, which is very disheartening!

Hope he gets his Heat days back soon.

I watched last night & if LBJ doesn’t make a play or give effort there’s NO unity, good body language from the team on the court.

Russ, definitely needs to go & for crying out loud you gotta play AD at PF so he doesn’t take that pounding, when will they learn, Zu dominated the glass on him last night.

He’s a good role player to have, I think he can be at KCP level once he gets used to Bron&AD

Yea, Nunn was very disappointing last night against the Clips….he has to play better so I don’t want to make excuses for him. I did express concern in another thread about Nunn being treated like Randle by Walton…coach preaching starters selected by merit then after earning the starting spot it is given to someone else that hasn’t played as well. That wears on a player psychologically.

Nunn earned the starting spot playing better than any guard we had during preseason: Russ, Bev, Walker, Reeves, Shroeder, Christie…Nunn even played well in the first game against GSW…yet even in the media he got almost no acknowledgement…then comes off the bench again. Still, it’s too early for him to have allowed it to affect him so he gotta keep grinding.

Nunn is nothing like KCP. He’s much smaller and thus not nearly as effective a defender as KCP. KCP’s impact was felt defensively and in the floor spacing he provided. Nunn on the other hand can be an effective secondary creator, as well as an off-ball threat due to his 3-point range (the latter is probably all they have in common).

I think he and Dennis are actually quite redundant and one is likely to move by the trade deadline, and of the two my money would be on Nunn due to his contract size.

Nunn's size, or lack thereof, really stood out yesterday. He got blocked a few times and his passes were also tipped/stolen. He can't help on the boards and bigger players just shoot over him. He shouldn't be playing the "SG" spot as he is at a decisive disadvantage height wise.

At least out of all the guards, he has a reason to start slow, injury so there’s hope him and T. Bryant will look much better in a month or 2 or 3 or not

When your other guards are sub 6' 4" and you don't have any length at even the 3-spot, it becomes much tougher to hide Nunn on defense, teams get multiple choices on points of attack. On top of that he's been a 0 on offense, hopefully that's him working himself back into NBA groove - OR - he's just in a slump. We absolutely need his offense and shooting.

Guys saying nunn sucks are just casuals;

Nunn is an ELITE guard in todays game for his ability to let the 3 ball fly but also score on many ways.

I will pay you for every season Kuzma had with a eFG% of 57% like Nunn had last season he played.

He is literally the perfect guard to play next to bron since he doesnt need the ball. Once the rust comes off... watch out

A pair of wings on the roster and moving him to PG would do him well. Then he coukd find his rhythm faster

Give Nunn time (and hopefully not playing with scrubs which is hard to do). The kid is a player.
