Lakers however got the following guys to surround the big 3 of bron, brow and brodie:

The big difference is outside shooting. All of a sudden the Lakers have good three point shooters. Last year none.
Melo, Ellington, and Ariza can provide clutch three point shooting. They can't triple team Lebron anymore.
Monk and Nunn can also shoot.
Westbrook has to learn to at least shoot the mid range jumper at a good rate.
The other teams will be giving him no room to drive but inviting him to shoot.
That is the only big weakness can see. |

Just-Ming nailed it. The Heat was a team with 3 in their prime superstars.
Lakers have one superstar in his prime and he’s not always available. |

When you look at that 2011 Miami Heat team, that depth was pretty mediocre, I mean.. Bibby/Dampier and Juan Howard those guys were already done with making a Impact, Carmelo/Howard and Ellington are much much better and are still Impact players. |

LOL! A sad reality. Does Vegas have an over/under for how many times AD will fall this year? |

I think our role players have a slight edge over the Heat ones.
But then again, team success is never about 1 on 1 player comparisons. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

For a full season i'm taking that Heat squad without thinking twice due to them all being in there prime.. Just the much safer bet.. One series though when everyone is healthy? I could see it going either way depending on a ton of factors. I def. like the potential of our role players more as well.
Like the Nets, the Lakers this year have only one true obstacle to getting back to the Finals which is the same as it was last season... Health, Health, Health, especially AD. I think we can still survive an early series or two even without 1 of Westbrook or Bron.
It will be interesting to see how well the role players fall in place as nothing really felt right the entire season last year even beyond injuries. |
