I used to think it was cheaper and more convenient to ride share instead of owning a car, but I just feel like it’s become unaffordable.

Only if I know I'm drinking.

Also:

1) if I'm meeting my wife somewhere so we won't have two cars coming back,

2) if I have a meeting in DTLA or somewhere where the parking sucks and costs a ton (it's cheaper and easier for me to Uber to DTLA from my office and back than it is to park),

3) if I'm out of town in a big city. Parking a rental car in a SF or NYC hotel lot can run $80+/day.

How much is Downtown LA parking just for a meeting? How expensive is the Uber in comparison?
