Not panicking yet but there should be concerns. We all discussed the odd fit and complete overall of players on the roster. We discussed the concerns with chemistry and defense. We discussed the age of the roster and the underlying concept of “load management “ instead of consistent effort.

None of those things have changed. After two losing efforts the same issues are there. All the lifetime achievements this roster has accumulated means diddly squat on game night this season.

Even more then health, the season hinges on how much this collection of players is willing to sacrifice for each other. It will take more then rolling out their resumes when young teams sense vulnerability and come at them.

Not panicking but have some doubts. Hope they prove me wrong.

Agree.

Panic on one side. Outright denial on the other.

Forgetting the scores... have we a glimpse of improvement after 8 games so far? I haven't... I am seeing frustration growing among the players and fan base.

Our #1 problem is defense... followed by Westbrook... followed by a lack of chemistry.

For the second year in a row, Pelinka traded defense, fit, and cohesiveness for an upgrade in offensive talent and bigger name. So far... It looks like the wrong decision again.

I'm just not seeing the urgency, hustle, cohesiveness on defense that we got out of players like Caruso, Bradley, etc. We caught a glimpse of that type of defensive dog-play from Avery against GS for a few minutes.

There is a real possibility the Lakers continue playing like crap until they get THT and Ariza back AND Avery is given more floor time.

Going to be tough sledding and bad flashbacka, of last year's issues, for many Laker fans til then.

This team is top heavy to state the obvious.

The effort, efficiency and defensive buy-in has to come from the players playing 35+mpg instead of focusing on all the different role players playing 15mpg.

Lead and others will follow.

They’re going to win a lot of games because there are a bunch of bad teams and they’ll be able win a lot of them on talent alone. But I don’t see them as being well constructed to beat the few good teams out there.

Denial running deep in these Laker streets.

Kuz actually has a defined role on the Wizards where he gets consistent touches.

You wont be seeing very many 6 point games.

Trust me.

Unlike here, Kuz is being put in the ultimate position to be successful.

Meanwhile, we have Melo who cant defend or rebound for (bleep) but hey, he can hit the occasional three so he's good as gold.

We also got Russ who's tearin (bleep) up so far and looks like a perfect fit.

Lakers fans really should be more concerned about what's goin on with our star studded crew than what measly ole Kyle Kuzma is or isnt doing in D.C.

No panic, this team will win close to 50 games and go a round or two in the playoffs.

Things will eventually turn around and everybody will be back on the wagon again. But imho, the panic shouldn’t be for the regular season/seeding…it should be for our title shot. So far our stars are playing 35+ mins per and even if it’s due to injury, this squad is largely made up of vets, so there will be bodies moving in and out of the lineup throughout the year. If that has our stars playing major minutes during the RS, we’re in trouble.

Then add Vogs having to worry about constructing an offense rather than focusing on his strengths in defense and we’re in trouble when adjustments need to be made in the postseason.

I predicted 42-40, 8th seed, 1st round knockout. I'm sticking to my predictions.

If you thought this team was winning a title, i guess you can start panicking now. If you thought their ceiling was 2nd round, this isn’t that surprising. We should look okay against bad teams and bad against really good ones.

Melo is a vet min guy. He had five boards last game, and he has only avg six his entire career. We already know he doesn't play defense.

It's also harder to get boards with the forty four million dollar man out there padding his rebound stats.

Is there concern? Yes of course, but I'm not going to write off the whole entire season just yet. I'm waiting for our team to get back to 100% health and then I'm deciding if we should blow it up or stay calm and patient.

No time to panic right now but I'd be concern about the mental state of the team.

Between Melo hitching on his free throw, Lebron not hustling back to create a 5 on 4 opportunity and the AD/Dwight fight, it's clear the team is not committed to winning a championship from the get go this season.

The biggest thing the lakers need to show right now is that championship mentality. They have issues but nothing will work out if they're acting like the Jailblazers instead of a championship team.

The time to panic was the moment the Lakers traded for WB. I said at the time that the Lakers had no shot at a championship after that trade.

I am now concerned that this team will be looking 8-10 seed and we will talking about how we can trade Westbrook mid season.

losing all preseason games, starting 0-2 while getting blown out, and your two players fighing each other in front of a home crowd...... no, I need more reason to panic.

LOL

I was so zoned out and annoyed, that even Kendell Jenner cheering for DB set me off.

My daughter was like, "that Kardashian girl is annoying!"

I couldn't agree more princess!

Exactly and not fun to watch, pretty soon fans are going to stop watching meanwhile the Lakers will be paying tax for a failure. How do you fix this mess is beyond me.

Panicking is fun but nah, I've been watching the NBA too long to think any of this matters. So many new pieces, the starters got hardly any run together in the preseason, a few key players are out, it's a recipe for a slow start. Plus they've played maybe the other two best teams in the West and the Suns at least have their whole team back so they know what they're doing. I honestly won't even start getting worried for the first 20 games.

The Lakers had LeBron, AD, and Westbrook against GS without Klay... Can’t blame THAT loss on injuries. No one out for the Lakers were expected to contribute as much as Klay Thompson. If we had our (bleep) together we would have won. The Lakers didn’t because they don’t. Hope that changes.

If we lose games because Ariza, THT, and Ellington are out with LB, AD, and WB playing then we weren’t going to win anyway...especially if the other team is missing their 2nd best offensive/defensive player.
